TWISTED HEIGHTS

For this design, we explored the idea of orthogonal planar squares twisting to create a sense of motion. The basis for this idea is the two squares which form a typical rectilinear skyscraper. Then, a sense of motion is created due to the twisting of one of the squares. This sense of motion is magnified when circumventing the construction, for the twist gives a spiraling effect. Also, the segmented windows covering the skyscraper have a shimmering quality that intensifies this sense of motion. Thus, the old, basic skyscraper is transformed into something completely new.
