The joy of cooking never stopped for Oliver Jr. He craved the knowledge and formal education from a renowned culinary school. He was accepted and hurriedly enrolled himself into the prestigious Johnson and Wales. In attempt to ensure wild success for his ultimate dream of starting his own restaurant. He supplemented his culinary school education with a degree in Accounting. Equipped with both a business and culinary mind Oliver Jr. jumped into the restaurant business with two feet forward. Oliver’s Notes was created to embody both Oliver Jr. and Oliver Sr. For this reason, American and European cuisine and techniques are intertwined to create inimitable dishes. Oliver Jr. and Sr. believe that every kitchen should be filled with delectable food and good jazz music booming. Jazz danced in the kitchen as dishes bubbled, baked and steamed. Music and food connect people of different ages, cultures, and identities. It played an integral role in healing Oliver Jr and Sr from the death of their loved ones. They hope to create a space where other individuals can find sanctuary. Oliver Jr. created a restaurant to share his passion and to aid those in need of a first smile.
