To report an incident: aapm.ethicspoint.com OR (888) 516-3915
AAPM is committed to providing a safe and productive meeting environment that fosters open dialogue and the exchange of professional and scientific ideas, promotes equal opportunities and treatment for all participants, and is free of harassment and discrimination. AAPM prohibits any form of harassment, sexual or otherwise, as well as other unprofessional behavior at its meetings and social events.
This Code of Conduct outlines AAPM’s expectations for all meeting attendees, speakers, exhibitors, staff, contractors, and guests at AAPM meetings and social events. All participants in attendance are expected to abide by this Code of Conduct to help ensure a pleasant and safe meeting experience. All participants are expected to treat others with respect, professionalism, and consideration and to uphold standards of scientific integrity and professional ethics, as described in the AAPM Code of Ethics.
DEFINITIONS
Behavior that is welcome or acceptable to one person may be unwelcome or offensive to another. Consequently, individuals must use discretion to ensure that their words and actions communicate respect for others. This is particularly important for those in positions of authority since individuals with lower rank or status may be reluctant to express their objections or discomfort regarding unwelcome behavior. Harassment intended in a joking manner still constitutes unacceptable behavior.

EMBRACING CHANGE. IMPACTING PATIENT CARE.
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
I am truly delighted to extend a warm and enthusiastic welcome to each and every one of you to the 66th AAPM Annual Meeting & Exhibition here in the vibrant city of Los Angeles, California. Our theme for this year's gathering is "Embracing Change. Impacting Patient Care," and it promises to be an extraordinary event that will shape the future of medical physics.
This Annual Meeting is a hallmark occasion where we find ourselves at the very forefront of groundbreaking research, cutting-edge technology, and innovative clinical applications. It's a testament to our shared commitment to advancing patient care and improving the lives of those we serve.
Our focus this year is on embracing change. Change is the driving force behind progress, and it is through change that we adapt, innovate, and make lasting impacts on patient outcomes. Whether it be the transformative shifts in healthcare, the evolving landscape of medical physics, or the dynamic changes within AAPM itself, we are here to embrace these challenges and seize the opportunities they present.
I am especially excited to introduce you to AAPM's new Executive Director, a pivotal figure in our association's journey. Their visionary leadership will undoubtedly prove invaluable as we navigate the future of medical physics and continue our mission to make a positive impact on patient care.
Networking is a cornerstone of this Annual Meeting. It's a chance for you to exchange ideas, form collaborations on new and existing projects, and nurture your professional growth. This event provides the perfect platform to forge lasting connections with peers and reconnect with mentors. Additionally, you'll have abundant opportunities to engage and exchange ideas with our esteemed industry
partners who share our unwavering commitment to advancing human health. Don't forget to explore the technical exhibits, where you can discover the latest products and services and connect with the vendors who drive innovation in our field.
Los Angeles, with its sunny skies and iconic attractions, provides a fitting backdrop for this year's gathering. Beyond the conference sessions, you can explore the legendary Hollywood Walk of Fame, immerse yourself in the enchanting world of Universal Studios, or gaze at the stars from the historic Griffith Observatory. And of course, there's world-class shopping along Rodeo Drive for those who crave a little retail therapy. When it's time to unwind and reflect after the meeting, you can head to the Santa Monica Pier or simply relax on the sandy shores of Manhattan or Venice beaches. Whether your idea of relaxation involves walking, biking, surfing, or simply soaking in the California sun, there's a perfect activity waiting for you.
I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to each one of you for deciding to be part of this remarkable event. Prepare yourselves for an inspiring experience where science, education, and professional growth converge to make a profound impact on patient care.
Let's embark together on this journey of embracing change and impacting patient care. Welcome to the 2024 AAPM Annual Meeting!

PROGRAM OUTLINE
New this year, we have restructured this meeting by bringing together the scientific and education program organizers to help foster synergies between education and scientific sessions to create four dynamic programs. Each track focuses on a subtopic, improving the flow of session topics. The change is reflected in the structure of the meeting program outlined below.
The Annual Meeting features four programs in seven tracks.
• Therapy program
o Image Guidance in Therapy
o Therapeutic Planning, Delivery, Adaptation
o Radiation Physics, Dosimetry, Biology
• Imaging program
o Diagnostic medical physics
o Interventional medical physics
• Radiopharmaceutical program
o Radiopharmaceuticals, Theranostics, and Nuclear Medicine
• Professional program
o Professional topics relevant to the Medical Physicist
Each program features a variety of scientific, education, and invited speaker sessions, as well as oral abstract sessions, and poster sessions.
Session Definitions:
Symposium: Symposia are given by invited speakers and cover scientific, education, and professional aspects of topics relevant to the practice of Medical Physics. Symposia can be found in all program tracks, including therapy, imaging, radiopharmaceutical, and professional symposia.
