2014-2015 Final Report on the Division April 30, 2015

Note From Your Lieutenant Governor Hello Division 11, It has been my honor to serve as your Lieutenant Governor for the 2014-2015 service year. I want to thank you for your hard word, commitment to service and dedication to Key Club. With your help, we were able to meet and surpass the Race to 10K goal that was set in the beginning of the service year. Not only that, but we have also expanded our service output significantly by hosting at least one divisional service project each month. As a result of your determination, we have overcome many challenges and adversities, expanded our club membership and developed lasting bonds with each other. In my last report, I would like to update you all on the amazing success that you have had in the previous year. Looking forward, let these numbers be a guideline, but not a defining part of your future endeavors. Yours in Care and Service,

Aaron Cheung Division 11, New York District Key Club 2011-2015 Bronx High School of Science Member 2014-2015 Distinguished Lt. Governor 2013-2014 Executive Assistant

2014-2015 Service Year Report

General Information Division 11, in recent years, has grown enormously. Six of nine clubs have been chartered in the last fifteen years. Our oldest club, DeWitt Clinton, was chartered 58 years ago in 1957. Our newest club, Frank McCourt High School, was chartered earlier this year on February 17, 2015. Awards are distributed each year at the Leadership Training Conference (LTC). LTC, New York’s District Convention, is the largest gathering of Key Club members within the district. During the convention, Key Club members learn about service, develop relations with one another and learn about different leadership skills. During the most recent service year, our division has won more awards than any other division in the district and in our history. Our division stands strong and proud for our accomplishments as we continue to improve our home, school and community. Our success would not have been possible without the hard work of our divisional officers. Thank you Executive Assistant Kenji Yeoh, Secretary Kyle Lu, Historian Kalvin Chi, Webmaster Tanya Hao, and PIRCREP Jenifer Zheng for your hard work. Also, thank you to District Webmaster Danny Qiu, Executive Assistant Theresa Lin, Bulletin Editor Sharon Lin and Divisional Liaison Lillian Xie. I would like to thank all Kiwanians who have supported our Key Clubs. Without your help and commitment to our organizations, we would not have been able to serve our community so well. I want to offer a special thanks to Kiwanis Officers who have shown continuous support of our clubs. Thank you to IP Metro LTG Chris Rubano, IP BWS LTG Frank Riti, Metro LTG Thomas Poccio, BWS LTG Rosemarie Cornacchio, NYCYP Kiwanis President Steven Chin, IP Chinatown Kiwanis President Grace Law, Chinatown Kiwanis President Patrick Ng, Riverdale Kiwanis President Douglas Hickey, IP Bronx Shore Kiwanis President John Baranski, Bronx Shore Kiwanis President Mike Roman, KCR Charlotte Owens and KCR Jason Steiner. 2014-2015 Service Year Report

Member & Officer Individual Awards Thank you to all officers who have served in the 2014-2015 service year. Without your help, dedication and commitment to Key Club, we would not have had such an amazing year. Congratulations to all members and officers who received awards for the 2014-2015 service year. All officers who have received awards have gone above and beyond their call of duty. These officers sacrificed their time not only to provide service to their home, school and community, but also to help develop their clubs. Each year, one Outstanding award is given to each position. Others who have also gone above and beyond the call of service received Distinguished Awards. These two awards are the highest honor an officer of a club may receive. This year, 12 members received recognition as either outstanding and distinguished. Congratulations to The Bronx HS of Science, which received the most individual awards in the district, and Hunter College HS, which received the third most. Award
