01 Social Media Promotion

I was tasked to enhance social media following and recognition of the highest ranked GBR women’s beach volleyball team during their early formation years. As inspiring professional athletes who do not receive any government funding, it became imperative that their social media posts stood out in an aesthetically unique and professional manner to avoid becoming overlook from potential sponsors.

Motion Graphics 01

In my own time I have undertaken tutorials and independent work using Adobe After Effects to further development and knowledge with graphical design software.

02 Mens GBR Beach Volleyball Teams Website As a natural progression with graphical social media posts and vastly increased sponsorship interest, I engaged with the current World No. 34’s beach volleyball team’s website. Websites from rival teams are often basic aesthetically and in function. Therefore, I self-taught myself webpage software such as Adobe Muse, and harnessed my Illustrator and Photoshop experience to develop a website. The website informs supporters and sponsors of their current progress and results as well as providing an easy platform for potential sponsorship companies to communicate with the athletes themselves. To visit the website click on any of the images on this page. 8

Upon my viewing my work for Palmer/Grimson’s website, I was tasked to refurbish, Commonwealth Games and Olympic Games hopefuls Gregory/ Sheaf’s,website. The task was similar to the previous website, however this team is more established with more connections. Therefore, the webpage had a similar structure, which however included motion graphics, in which I self taught, as a unique aspect compared to rival websites.

03 Product Solution

This project involved the research of a problem to be solved by a product, as well as identifying the products capability of being operational in the intended environment. The solution to this project was highly researched based. I participated in interviews, observations and reading medical practice material to ensure that this product could enhance rehabilitation outcomes for the patient. I had to ensure that the product was culturally and psychologically appropriate, whilst also aiming to enhance the usability of the product for the patients carers amongst others. This product has been deemed suitable by healthcare professionals to aid patients carry out many rehabilitation techniques at home for a wide variety of stroke severities. The product is intended to offer cosy effective support for stroke patients and carers living in rural South Africa after discharge from hospital. Using this product and handbook will enable the patient to undergo the 6 months of rehabilitation which is currently seen in the developed world instead of the current 7 days. 12

04 ‘Tech’ Play

Under the Santander Innovation Grant, placement students were able to imagine and develop any projects without constraints using Arduino prototype components. This was crucial with developing my competency in coding and understanding in electronics, as previous knowledge was limited. Initially I had to self-teach basic coding and circuitry. Projects included, flex censored drones to Neo-pixel strip ‘ping pong’.

Celebrating 80 years of BBC TV (Alexandra Palace Exhibition) 04 Palm Court Floor Plan - Alexandra Palace

1 - Stage 4x4 2 - Cameramen 2x4 (both sides) 3 - Background Staff 2x4 (both sides)

Upon celebrating 80 years since the first BBC TV Broadcast, we were tasked to create an exhibition to celebrate this anniversary. The brief that was set out was to give the attendees a 360 degree visual experience. A series of TV screens were attached together in differing formations to cater a 1:1 scaled projection of actors recreating working scenes from 1936. Using research from the National Library I had to determine and define significant workers roles as well as arrange the layout of each screen to closely replicate the formation of the very first EMI Studio. Other responsibilities including sourcing trussing and ensuring that the mechanical properties of the trussing could safely hold screens in place, and exhibition visualisations for the clients.

05 CAD and Keyshot Rendering

20

CAD and Keyshot Rendering 05 I have 4 years experience of using Solidworks as a CAD software. I have been able to develop this skillset via projects as well as external tutorials such as creating the Audi R8. I also have 3 years involvement of using KeyShot to render these CAD models into suitable and realistic environments to enhance visualisation experiences.

06 Product Development

The purpose of this project was to research and identify a prevailing need within the kitchen. In home baking, a frequent frustration for amateurs occur when using eggs, a common ingredient. Users may find that when they try to break an egg, pieces of the egg shell will enter the cake mixture, which can be a hassle, especially if it occurs after the user has inserted any other ingredients beforehand. Therefore, my product which I have designed has focused on a various range of functions, which include; the limitation of mess caused by cracking the shell, preventing egg shells from entering the mixture, and to separate egg yolks from egg
