TITIRANGI MUST DO'S

Titirangi Art Scene

The artsy little village of Titirangi boasts Te Uru Waitākere Contemporary Gallery, a museum in honour of New Zealand painter Colin McCahon and fantastic craft market on the last Sunday of each month in the Titirangi War Memorial Hall on South Titirangi Road.

Titirangi’s Food Scene

There are several top dining and supping options in Titirangi, including iTi, a smart yet casual bistro elevated in the trees, right in the village, and Deco, in Lopdell House, which has a cool, Turkish vibe. Locals know to visit Crafty Baker early to grab loaves of their famously good fresh bread – and the coffee is excellent, too. Also new to the scene is Street Feast, with six vendors based in the stylish, prominent complex called The Rise on the corner of Titirangi Road and South Titirangi Road. Food available here includes streetstyle Vietnamese, Mexican, pizzas and dessert; a full bar, outdoor tables and views across the bush to the distant harbour combine to make this a great socialising spot.

Te Uru Waitākere Contemporary Gallery

West Auckland’s premier public art gallery blends inspired architecture, a stunning setting and top-quality art. Curated exhibitions are alwayssmart, thought-provoking and surprising. The gallery shop sells top quality ceramics, glass, jewellery and art publications.
