OPHIR POST OFFICE
Frozen in time since its 1886 gold rush heyday, this post shop is one of a number of historic buildings framing the street. It’s worth sending a letter because they’ll use the original Victorian-era rubber stamp postmark.

DANIEL O'CONNELL SUSPENSION BRIDGE
Take the sedate road to Ophir from Alexandra and you’ll come across this 65m-long suspension stonebridge. Built in 1880, it is a Category 1 historic place and maintains all its original good looks.
