Agricultural Aviation in Argentina has New Leadership
Argentina’s agricultural aviation board, the Federation of Agricultural Chambers (Fearca) renewed its board of directors recently. The new Board of Directors will be chaired by the current President of the Chamber of Agricultural Companies of the NOA (CANOA), Fernando Camarda, together with Walter Malfatto, member of the Chamber of Aero-applicators of the Province of Buenos Aires (CAPBA).
Fernando Camarda is the founding partner of Aerosoluciones and lives in Las Lajitas, in the Salta province of Argentina. Walter Malfatto, born in the town of Bragado, Buenos Aires, will be co-chairing the federation during the next board term.
“We are going to continue with the work that we have been doing from the Board of Directors” explained Fernando Camarda. “The objective of the Federation is to protect, encourage and promote the development of ag aviation activity in the country. We will participate in each of the activities that are related to the industrial agricultural sector in order to demonstrate that our activity is essential for the development of the Argentine economy. We will continue working together with the public / private sector with the aim of promoting, developing and communicating Good Agricultural Practices (GAP)” he continued.
“Fearca will always defend accredited companies that employ authorized pilots,” said new vice president Walter Malfatto. “The aerial spraying industry takes care of the environment more than anyone else, I live in the countryside, 70 meters from my house I have a plane stored and I am not going to expose my family if I was not sure what the products are.”
Fearca’s new Board of Directors includes President Fernando Camarda (CANOE), Vice President Walter Malfatto (CAPBA), Secretary Juan Molina (CEAER), Treasurer Eduardo Olmedo (CEACH), and three regular members, Francisco Casajus (CEAC), Andrés Fargioni (CEASFE), and Alfonso Rodriguez (CAPBA.)
The Fearca board also includes substitute members Mauricio Fargioni (CEASFE), Marcelo Belich (CEACH) and a two member accounts review commission staffed by Ignacio Bocca (CEASFE) and Alberto Torregiani (CEASFE). The board is rounded out with one alternate member, a spot filled by Bruno Del Archiprete (CEAER.)
