If you’ve been following abcMallorca for a while, you’ll know the exciting culinary journey we’ve been on. Pen and camera at the ready, we’ve discovered, explored, tested and reviewed restaurants all over the island – clocking up 1,000s of kilometres and spending many months tasting some unbelievable cooking. Welcome to the 10th edition of the Top 101 Restaurants in Mallorca 2022. Food has always connected foreigners to the island and abcMallorca has been at the centre of it. Experiencing the local cuisine is a pleasure many visitors and residents love to do. It’s a sector that contributes enormously to our enjoyment of the island and why this edition is one of our most popular magazines. It’s read by thousands online, downloaded, shared and reliably used as a reference point. If you’re not sure which restaurants to try in Mallorca, this edition has always held up a light – guiding you to the ones that hit the mark for outstanding cuisine, service and location.

Over the past decade, my hope is that abcMallorca has played a role in highlighting the lesser-known restaurants. Sure, we can talk about the most awarded ones but my focus has always been to look deeper. We invest the time in uncovering the hidden gems and shining the spotlight on talented chefs who humbly work behind the scenes to create innovative cuisine from local products. This magazine is as much about them as it is for the reader. In this spirit, turn to page 136 for the Last Word where we look at Mallorca’s journey to gourmet stardom - through the lens of this special 10th anniversary edition.
