Historiadora, crítica de arte, professora e curadora. Licenciada em Filosofia pela FAFICH/UFMG, Belo Horizonte (1972); Mestre em Artes Liberais pela State University of New York at Stony Brook, USA (1975); Doutora em Artes, pela ECA/USP, São Paulo (1995) e Pós-doutora, com supervisão do Prof. Dr. Francisco Jarauta, pela Universidade de Murcia/ Espanha (2014). Encontra-se na presidência do Instituto Maria Helena Andrés (IMHA) e na vicepresidência da Associação Brasileira de Críticos de Arte (ABCA). Participa da Associação Nacional de Pesquisadores em Artes Plásticas (ANPAP), do Comitê Brasileiro de História da Arte (CBHA) e da Comissão Editorial da Revista da UFMG. Lecionou disciplinas no campo da História da Arte na graduação e pós-graduação da FAFICH/UFMG e organizou vários cursos e seminários de extensão universitária, entre eles, a Bienal Universitária da UFMG/UEMG (2010/ 2012). Coordenou várias pesquisas, entre elas: As Neovanguardas Artísticas de Belo Horizonte nos Anos 1960, com a orientação da Profa. Dra. Annateresa Fabris (1990/1995); Um Século de História das Artes Plásticas em Belo Horizonte, em parceria com Fernando Pedro da Silva, realizada pela C/Arte Projetos Culturais (1995-1998); Memória, Acervo e Arte, coordenada em parceria com Prof. Dr. João Antônio de Paula, Prof. Dr. Fabrício Fernandino e Moema Queiroz, realizada pela Fundação Rodrigo Melo Franco de Andrade/UFMG (2009/2011). Publicou os livros: Neovanguardas: Belo Horizonte, anos 60, Editora C/ Arte (1997) e Introdução às Artes Visuais em Minas Gerais, Belo Horizonte, Editora C/Arte (2013). Art Historian, critic, teacher and curator. Graduated in Philosophy from FAFICH / UFMG, Belo Horizonte (1972); Master of Liberal Arts from State University of New York at Stony Brook, USA (1975); PhD in Arts, by ECA / USP, São Paulo (1995) and Post-doctoral, with supervision of Prof. Dr. Francisco Jarauta, University of Murcia / Spain (2014). She is the president of the Instituto Maria Helena Andrés (IMHA) and vicepresident of the Brazilian Association of Art Critics (ABCA). Participates in the National Association of Researchers in Plastic Arts (ANPAP), the Brazilian Committee of History of Art (CBHA) and the Editorial Committee of the UFMG Magazine. She has taught courses in the field of Art History in the undergraduate and graduate programs of FAFICH / UFMG and has organized several university extension courses and seminars, among them the University Biennial of UFMG / UEMG (2010/2012). She coordinated several researches, among them: The Neovanguardas Artísticas of Belo Horizonte in Years 1960, with the direction of Profa. Dr. Annateresa Fabris (1990/1995); A Century of History of Fine Arts in Belo Horizonte, in partnership with Fernando Pedro da Silva, held by C / Arte Projetos Culturais (19951998); Memory, Collection and Art, coordinated in partnership with Prof. Dr. João Antônio de Paula, Prof. Dr. Fabrício Fernandino and Moema Queiroz, held by the Rodrigo Melo Franco de Andrade / UFMG Foundation (2009/2011).
