NEW CONSUL GENERAL

U.S. Consul General-Designate in Dubai Meghan Gregonis met with key members of the U.S. business community during a private dinner hosted by the U.S.-U.A.E. Business Council at the Ritz Carlton DIFC on September 2nd.

U.S.-U.A.E. Business Council President Danny Sebright convenedleading business executives from 20 U.S. companies with a presence in DubaitowelcomeConsulGeneralDesignateGregonisto the U.A.E. and to shareinsights on the local business environment.

ConsulGeneral-Designate Gregonis, who most recently served as U.S.ConsulGeneralin Munich,engagedwith the U.S. business community and told them about her priorities for her newjob as well as preparations for Expo 2020, the world'sgreatest show. The Expo will be heldfrom 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022 and will provide a platformfor U.S. businesses to connect withvisitors from around the world.

Thiseventcontinues the Business Council's longstandingtradition of welcoming new ConsulGeneralsand Ambassadors to the UAE. Thedinner heralds the Business Council's return to in-person events in bothcountries, and kicks off a very busy andpacked schedule of fall programming. U.S.ConsulGeneral in Dubai, Meghan Gregonis, met with AmCham Dubai Board of Directors during a private meeting attheMilleniumm Hotel Al Barsha on October 7, 2021

The meeting’s objective was to welcome Consul GeneralGregonisto the U.A.E. and to shareinsights on the local business climate.AmCham Dubai had the opportunity to present an overview of the organization as well as strategy for a post covid year ahead. Gregonis, who most recently served as U.S.ConsulGeneralin Munich,shared her priorities for her tenure as well the for the ongoing partnerships and activities at Expo 2020.
