It has been a year like no other. Do you remember how you felt when the first lockdown was announced? At Concept, we had to take stock of a serious albeit surreal situation and respond with careful attunement to the needs of our patients requiring emergency and essential eye care. It was a creative challenge beset by restrictions. Whilst embracing our sense of mortality and wellbeing with forbearance in a changing landscape, we became aware that many of us experienced visual changes with our ‘new’ daily routine. How many of us needed a spare pair of glasses or wished we had an eye test sooner?
Our lives had changed and our eyes have never worked harder under the strain of everyday demands. Connecting with the world through digital engagement became a norm. We spent hours staring at our smartphones or computer screens. Is it any wonder that so many of us suffered with dry eyes, visual strain, stress and headache. As a key health care provider, we
reassured our patients, many of whom felt trepidation to venture out, that we had re-configured our clinic with safe and robust protocols in place. In turn, we continue to be grateful by the support and feedback received.
AT HEART, CONCEPT IS A COMMUNITY PRACTICE.
Our investment in our people, in advanced diagnostic instruments for routine eye examinations, bespoke and affordable care plans, Zeiss lenses and a sustainable, independent frame selection, is predicated on the belief that access to eye care is not just a privilege but a human right. Offering preventative care and meeting our patient’s optical health needs across the spectrum, has always been our priority. During the pandemic and beyond, reaching out to the vulnerable, the elderly, and those living alone, or without family, has been our privilege. At Concept, we are inspired by the remarkable people we serve.
Here’s wishing you and your family, a healthy, loving and hopeful Christmas.
