April 23-25, 2012 Fantasyland Conference Centre

Edmonton, Alberta Conference Hosts:

Growing Alberta’s Analytics Industry SPONSORSHIP GUIDE The world is swimming in data. Whether it is generated by sensors, cameras, transactions, or conversations, data is everywhere. In 2011, it is estimated that 1.8 zettabytes of information will be created and replicated, requiring 57.5 billion 32 GB iPads to store with a retail price equivalent to the GDP of the United States, Japan, China, Germany, France, the United Kingdom and Italy combined. Moving forward, “drowning” in data might be a more apt description; the world’s information is doubling every two years. In response, Analytics – the science of extracting knowledge from data – is growing rapidly. The Alberta Analytics community is growing in response to recent advancements in the field. On April 23-25 at the Fantasyland Hotel in Edmonton, many of the top Analytics practitioners in Alberta, business leaders, professionals, researchers, and policy analysts will gather to: • Learn about Analytics tools and advanced techniques – for increasing productivity • Get engaged in probing current and anticipated Analytics applications • Network with pan-Alberta suppliers and customers, students/entrepreneurs and emerging leaders • Identify barriers to success and resolutions for advancing Alberta’s Analytics industry
