London, United Kingdom - Enhanced design competition delivery skills and understanding, by working on three design competitions from start until finish. Projects ranged in scale, function and deliverables, from a medium-scale masterplan in the Middle East, to the design of the public realm around the museums of Liverpool. - Assisted with the design of various projects by coming up with massings and organisation ideas, enhancing design process knowledge. - Learned about craft and construction after joining a multidisciplinary team in-charge of the design and construction of an art installation along the Liverpool docks. -Developed skills in computational design and efficient workflow in architecture, by learning new computer software’s and the interfaces between them, such as Rhinoceros and Grasshopper. - Created numerous high-quality diagrams and drawings that represented and explained the projects, such as an illustrative site plan. - Built various interpersonal skills by working with dynamic and diverse groups of people coming from different backgrounds, skills, and seniority levels. - Improved time management skills by working on fast paced competitions with strict deadlines and various deliverables.

4th Year Project
BITES & BYTES Adopting a systematic thinking approach will help us move forward to tackle the global challenges of the present and the future. The scheme is combining a Data Center and an Urban Farm into one building, creating a symbiotic relationship where two functions can support each other. Sitting on a vibrant public site near the St Pancras lock and basin, the building is calling for public interaction. Therefore, the public functions infiltrate underneath and between the Data Center and Urban Farm, making the functions a backdrop to everyday life and creating a building where people and infrastructure co-exist.

Heating & Cooling Loop One of the main drivers of the scheme is to create a more energy-efficient and improved piece of infrastructure. The heat generated by the Data Center is reused in the Urban Farm and other parts of the building. The same water then cools down and circulates back to cool the Data Center, creating a loop. The building is also an asset to the community, since the heating system is connected to the district heating network, providing the surroundings with heat.

OBJECTS As a group of architects and civil engineers we were assigned to design a Migration Museum on the Belgrove House site in Camden. The scheme creates a platform for the community to display their everyday belongings as a means for storytelling within the exhibition. The cabinet that holds the objects acts as lantern in the front, while the boxes in the back are treated as objects intruding into the atrium, holding functions such as exhibitions and meeting rooms. The Migration museum will work in collaboration with the UCL Anthropology research center and the community to curate, exhibit, research, and maintain the people’s objects.

The cabinet holds the community’s objects; the shelving system follows a 1.5m x 1.5m grid that can be further broken down to provide flexibility to accommodate for different object sizes.
3rd Year Project
DISSIDENT ARCHIVE The building acts as a catalyst for change against displacement of the people due to gentrification in New York. The ground floor is elevated to provide people with a platform to protest and talk about their issues. The archive is separated into the two parts, an ongoing archive that acts as an exhibition, and the historic conventional archive. The building is resembling a series of tenement blocks reconfigured to reflect the diversity of the people of New York.

THE ROOM OF REQUIREMENT As a group of architects and civil engineers we were assigned to design an adaptive reuse of the IRT Powerhouse in Manhattan, NYC. The design aims to create a flexible space for the community, where the ground floor is made up of completely changeable blocks catering for various events across the year including NYC Fashion week, NYCxDesign, NYC Restaurant Week ...etc. Changeable pods are along the sides of the building with functions including art, dance, innovation, meeting...etc.
