Application Package 2nd Round
FOREWORD Congratulations, for you have taken one vital step that you can mark as one of the biggest divisions in your lifetime. Not only will it be the biggest, but it will be one of the most paramount! You are currently at the cusp of something much bigger than yourself and it will feel scary and it will be daunting. It will challenge you beyond every limit you thought is possible and it will stretch you in ways you are far from yet imagining. Do not run away from it and do not succumb to the fear it brings along and the comfort that lies outside of it. Delve deep into it and embrace it with open arms. Be proud of yourself for making it this far, but get ready to give it your all - for that is the least it deserves. The decision to dedicate yourself fully to something that is so much bigger than yourself is one of velour. Considering to apply for MCP, that is a journey of its own and it takes a lot of courage and determination to be able to pull through with it especially in an environment as Afghanistan’s. I trust in you being able to do that. I am also grateful for you wanting to seize it. My journey with this application process alone was one I would never forget. I broke throughout the process - a few times at least - and reached my lowest lows only to realize that the lower you dropped, the higher you will rise once you muster the courage and willpower to get back up, to persist. It was a struggle, it was not easy; but it will always be worth it. I ask you to not give up during the process and I ask you to stay strong. I need you to be, all AIESEC does. My experience after that water bucket-moment though, is one I cherish every day (Although it was so Cold :P). Not a day goes by where I do not feel grateful for where I am at today and what I am experiencing. It does challenge you every minute, but you reap the benefits every second. And If I had the chance to go back in time, I would make the same decision over and over again. And so should you, right now! Be powerful, but be humble; that is all it takes. We chose this experience and we will always choose AIESEC. This time around, be the hero AIESEC in Afghanistan deserves and we will choose you. I wish you all the best and also all the luck in the world. You will need it. But first and foremost, I wish you be humble in your dealings, true to yourself and honest in your pursuit. AIESEC deserves nothing less than that. Will you be the one? Abdulbasit Mawaj Member Committee President AIESEC in Afghanistan 18.19
