5 | CITIZEN OFFICE

FUTURE OF THE OFFICE SPACE Citizen Office is a term invented in the 21st century for an interior design concept where employees control how the way they interact with a varied work environment designed as a microcosm of a town; we are scaling this up with a vast workspace the size of a village for 800 FTEs. The office is defined by seven urban typologies, including Terminal Station, Apartment, Palace, Theater, Landmark, Bridge, and Boulevard. Each urban typology provides a different work environment for users to move between throughout the day depending on their schedule needs. Each typology offers a different nest, net, and amenity spaces. The project combines multi-circulation systems from street walking to a network bridge connection with the engagement of neighborhood and urban typologies.

15 | THE OASIS

MIXED-USE The large site has been divided into multiple masses with five primary zones, such as retail shops, offices, public spaces, and apartment complexes. The vertical circulation focus on two corners where people can interact with each other. The goal is to create an affordable housing program with the intention to create a community within the community. It aims to achieve a friendly sustainable design, multi-views, and terraces.

25 | THE PANGAEA MUSEUM

CONTEMPORARY ART MUSEUM The Pangea Museum is a platform with a focus on contemporary artworks from a global perspective. The museum is located in Los Angeles, California nearby the Art District. The idea underlining the design concept, is to merge within the site by flexing and adapting depending on the program’s capacity. The central mass is the main lobby/entrance zone that provides visitors access by circulating between the two gallery spaces. The shape has also been used as a navigator device. It suggests some movement and exploration from the exterior with an invitation to the interior. Flight Paths

33 | THE BANNED MASK HK

MASK IN HONG KONG The Banned Mask HK project brings awareness to two current issues taking place in Hong Kong. Firstly, banning the usage of masks due to security threats during protests. Secondly, the usage of masks for pollution. This ordinance from the government posed significant risks to the basic needs of human life. The Banned Mask HK proposes a design solution to create a vital system in revealing and concealing, the inner play of transparency and opacity. The desired goal was to design a filtering system for pollution and identity.

The broader definition of the ecology surrounding our humanity forms a major theoretical basis for design and research. Therefore, Felix Guattari’s concept of Three Ecologies was borrowed to develop a deeper understanding of the interconnected networks existing at the scale of mind, society, and environment.
