1 Prototype community Health center - Yemen

” The Prototype Community Health Center in Yemen was developed in response to the many challenges that have long hindered the countrys healthcare system, such as poverty, inadequate primary healthcare facilities, poor infrastructure, and costly long-distance transportation. To address these issues, I proposed a simple, replicable LEGO prototype design that can be easily distributed across multiple regions, including remote and isolated areas. By relying on distributed health centers rather than costly centralized general hospitals, the prototype design better meets the needs of local communities. Its modular system design makes it flexible and easily configurable to meet the specific needs of each community. Additionally, the health center provides primary healthcare with 25 beds while respecting the regional vernacular theme found in rural areas in Yemen. Overall, my prototype design offers a scalable solution that can be adapted and improved over time through post-occupancy evaluation, resulting in a more efficient and effective healthcare system for all Yemeni citizens, especially those in rural and remote areas. ”
