Loose Granular Oil-Dri® Granular Clay absorbents are available in the traditional coarse formula and the finer QuickSorb™ grind. Both are produced from the same high-quality absorbent minerals and are effective on oils, coolants, grease, water, and other liquid spills. Solidifier Oil Solidifiers are composed of dry, high molecular weight polymers that have a porous matrix and large oleophilic (strong affinity for oil rather than water) surface area. Once in contact with oil, the oil solidifies to form a physical bond with the oil.
Isolite for Soil Remediation Isolite™ is a unique porous ceramic pellet used as a biocarrier for microbes. It serves to remediate contaminated soil/groundwater when injected into man-made subsurface fractures.

Spill Kits Marine Oil Spill Kits Oil Spill Kits designed to respond to OPA 90 and IMO/MARPOL 73/78 regulations. With these kits on board you are assured of fulfilling any safety and environmental regulation applicable globally. There are several regulations circulating and in short they are: Oil Pollution Act of 1990 (33 CFR Part 155) or OPA90 requires oil carrying vessels in U.S. waters to have oil spill clean up equipment on board for on-deck spills.
Vessels with an overall length of 400 feet or less are required to be able to contain and remove on-deck spills of at least 7 barrels (294 gallons; 1,100 litres).
Oil tankers and barges with an overall length of 400 feet or more have an increased requirement of being able to clean up spills of 12 barrels (504 gallons; 1,900 litres).
Vessels carrying oil as secondary cargo must have a spill kit on board to contain and remove on-deck spills of at least 1.5 barrels ( = 63 Gallons = 238 Liters).
According to several IMO resolutions "all ships should have the capability to contain and clean up minor deck and over side spills". Regulation 26 of Annex I of MARPOL 73/78 requires that oil tankers of 150 tons gross tonnage or more and all ships of 400 tons gross tonnage or more carry an approved Shipboard Oil Pollution Plan (SOPEP). The International Convention on Oil Pollution Preparedness, Response and Co-operation, 1990, also requires such a plan for certain ships. These plans all includes an Oil Spill Response Kits on board. SpillCon Solutions offers the most comprehensive range of Oil Spill Response Kits available in the market. As the needs can be very different we offer our kits in different features and sizes.
Background of SPCC Spill Response Kit In July 2002, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency amended the Oil Pollution Prevention regulation at Title 40 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 112, (40 CFR 112). Subparts A through C of the Oil Pollution Prevention regulation are often referred to as the “SPCC Rule” because they describe the requirements for certain facilities to prepare, amend and implement Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans. SPCC Plans are a cornerstone of EPA’s strategy to prevent oil spills from reaching our nation’s waters, and they ensure that facilities put in place containment and other countermeasures that would prevent oil spills that could reach navigable waters. Under EPA’s Oil Pollution Prevention regulation, facilities must detail and implement spill prevention and control measures in their SPCC Plans.

SORBASOLV SorbaSolv™ is a patented recycled cellulose based oil
absorbent that has an extremely high absorbency combined
with permanent water repellency and oil retention. Effective on water and land, SorbaSolv absorbs oil, greases and other water insoluble organics and contains no toxic, carcinogenic or biologically hazardous materials.
Base recycled materials as a low cost alternative to virgin polypropylene materials. A patented (US # 4,780,518) recycled cellulose based oil absorbent. Contains no toxic, carcinogenic or biologically hazardous materials. Absorbs oil, greases and other water insoluble organics into a thick mass decreasing its mobility manifold. Oil Herder.
SorbaSolv™ can be air deployed or sprayed on the spill by boat, to form a biomass that will allow bioremediation or, more importantly, the collection for processing to reclaim the oil into a usable product or for incorporation in a waste to energy burning unit
Water Remediation / Oil Spill Clean Up SorbaSolv booms, pads, and loose particulate are highly effective against large or small oil spills in salt or fresh water. The oil is first contained, absorbed, and recovered using various collection methods. Then, by simply applying pressure and/or compression to the sorbent, the oil is released allowing it to be recycled.
Land Remediation An effective method of site clean up is soil washing. This process separates oil from sandy, high humic and high clay content soil, reducing its leaching potential ten to twenty fold by incorporating SorbaSolv into the process. Batch mixing with agitation and column elution are the two most effective methods to completely remove and eventually dispose of the pollutant. SorbaSolv is ideal for beach /sand remediation
As a Filter Substrate By relying on a phase separation process, SorbaSolv will absorb non-water soluble organics from aqueous liquid and vapor mixtures. For years, SorbaSolv has been used as a filter substrate for the removal of oils, solvents, and other water insoluble organics from aqueous waster streams in support of the Clean Water Act.
ISOLITE Porosity Control Technology
Isolite™ is a unique porous ceramic pellet used as a biocarrier for microbes. It serves to remediate contaminated soil/ groundwater when injected into man-made subsurface fractures.
This method is applied to the diatomaceous earth products containing a large quantity of fossil shells with pores. Firebricks or grains of the diatomaceous earth are fired at high temperature for water and oil absorbency, water retentivity, moisture controllability, and thermal insulation efficiency. The porous grains also work as a carrier for microbes and catalytic agents.
Remediation
Isolite™, a special porous ceramic pellet that is used as the preferred and very effective biocarrier for microbes and serves as the proppant for the fractures. The Isolite™ is inoculated with microbes and/or nutrients as it is pushed through the mixer by the hydraulic auger system with control of both volume and pressure
ISOLITE Super Duty (Isolite) CG1 is made up from ceramic diatomaceous granules which have been pre-fired to around 1000ÂşC. The hardened granules incorporate a structure, which have extremely small cavities.. The result is a product that not only absorbs and retains a massive amount of water, but also releases the water in a controlled manner as and when the ground needs it!

STORMWATER MANAGEMENT The Drain Guard is installed in a catch basin and is held in place by the drain’s grate. Stormwater runoff enters the Drain Guard and is directed toward the pouch by a skirt made of a nonwoven polypropylene, needle-punched, geotextile material. This fabric filters the pollutants from the water stream as it passes over and flows through the material. Additionally, each Drain Guard is equipped with numerous "Filter Strips" made of "X-TEX", a unique filter material made of recycled synthetic fibers. OIL IN WATER MONITORING BUOY
Compact and rugged buoy system is designed for short term monitoring (up to 24 months). The lightweight and low-cost buoy is easily handled by one person in the field, weighing just 25kg, and being only 60cm in diameter and 2.0m in overall length.
