Créée en 1931 par René Coucke dans le Nord de la France, la marque COUCKE est à ses débuts, manufacture de mouchoirs, puis elle s’est tournée vers le linge de table et d’office dans les années 1970. La société s’est aujourd’hui, spécialisée dans le torchon jacquard et imprimé en portant une attention particulière au « look » et surtout à la qualité de ses produits. Notre proposition est un ‘’bouillon’’ de styles qui repose à la fois sur la tradition et la modernité. Chez vous, chez nous…la cuisine est devenue, en quelques années, un lieu de convivialité, de partage et d’expériences renouvelées. Si l’on y prépare les plats hérités de nos grands-mères, on s’y retrouve aussi pour innover ou tester une nouvelle recette dénichée sur un blog à la page. Entre refuge et art de vivre, c’est dans la cuisine que nos personnalités et nos envies s’expriment. Une véritable bouffée d’émotions, de plaisirs et de gourmandises. C’est à l’image de cette « nouvelle » cuisine, que Coucke oriente désormais sa création et ses développements. La fin de l’année approche et c’est le moment d’organiser les festivités ! Cette année, C’est le moi le Chef ! Un nouveau défi à relever surtout lorsqu’on se retrouve à une vingtaine autour de la table. Pour régaler mes invités, j’opte pour un plat familial, une recette transmise par ma grand-mère et revisitée à ma façon. J’adore réaliser ce plat surtout lorsque je vais dénicher ce qu’il me faut dans ma boucherie-charcuterie préférée et aussi chez l’épicier et le caviste. Le temps m’est compté mais je prends le temps d’une pause le midi et m’improvise une pizza « maison » que je déguste sur le pouce ! Je me remets aux fourneaux pour la dernière ligne…..alors que je suis en plein « rush », un vent de légèreté me traverse quand j’aperçois un cerf majestueux et fier passé au loin dans le jardin. Quelle allure ! Plus tard, la nuit tombe peu à peu, le feu de cheminée nous réchauffe et diffuse une odeur agréable de bois, la table est dressée…. chacun de nous prend place. Les cadeaux attendent au pied du sapin, j’ai hâte d’offrir mon souvenir de Paris à ma Tante Marie ! Joyeux Noël à tous !
Founded in 1931 by René Coucke in the north of France, COUCKE started out as a brand of handkerchiefs, before branching out into table and kitchen linen in the 1970s. Nowadays the firm specialises in jacquard and printed teatowels, with special emphasis on a smart appearance and above all the quality of its products. We design a whole melting-pot of styles, drawing on both traditional and modern flavour. Your home, our home: kitchens have in recent years become a place for socialising, sharing and enjoyment. Where we can lay on a full roast beef worthy of our grandmothers or innovate with the latest new recipes found on trending blogs. Whether we’re cosying up in our home sweet home, or entertaining adventurously, it all happens in the kitchen. An onslaught of emotion, pleasure and that naughty-but nice-attitude. Coucke is now focussing its design and development to cater to the developments in these new kitchens. It’s the end of the year and the Christmas holidays are here! This year, I have been elected as «Official Chef»! Not an easy task, as there will be about 20 of us for dinner. I have decided to go with a timeless classic, a family recipe handed down to me by my grandmother, with a few personal twists. I absolutely love making this dish, especially when I go shopping for the ingredients at my favourite butcher shop, the local grocery store and the wine shop! I don’t have a lot of time on my hands, but I still manage to grab a bite of a delicious homemade pizza for lunch! Then it’s time to put on the finishing touches...In the middle of all the hustle and bustle I see a majestic deer passing though the garden and it instantly puts everything into perspective. What a breath-taking sight it was! As night slowly falls, everyone takes their place at the table, warmed by the fire in the chimney and basking in the sweet aroma of the slowly crackling wood. The presents are already at the foot of the Christmas tree; I cannot wait for Aunt Marie to open the present I got her from Paris! Merry Christmas to all!

En effet, nous travaillons en proximité avec nos sous-traitants français ce qui nous donne plus de souplesse dans nos processus de création et nous incite à porter un regard attentif aux fabrications. Fabriqué en France, c’est aussi et surtout, la volonté d’entretenir le savoir-faire de notre région, pionnière dans le tissage et la confection textile depuis toujours. It is a collaborative decision with Coucke to prioritise French expertise in our designs and products. Our main collection contains items that are made, for the most part, in the North of France. We work very closely with our outsourcing partners in France, giving us a free reign in all aspects of the production, especially design and manufacturing policies. The «Made in France» label is a conscious effort to preserve the traditions and skills of our region, renowned for its expertise in weaving and textile manufacturing.

Le nid d’abeille est un tissage avec du relief qui reproduit de petites alvéoles et dont la qualité principale est la rapidité d’absorption et de séchage. Ce tissage permet d’obtenir un tissu plus léger, plus résistant et plus doux à l’usage. Il répond parfaitement aux besoins quotidiens de la cuisine. The honeycomb is a type of textured weave for fabrics. It produces little air sockets that greatly enhance the moisture absorption and drying properties of the fabric.The weave produces a fabric that is lightweight and resistant, all while maintaining a soft and pleasant texture. It is the ideal choice for everyday use in the kitchen.
