ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Students who do not have UK nationality, leave to remain in the UK, or presettled/settled status will need to apply for a Student Visa in order to study in the UK.

If you are studying for less than six months, you may not require a visa, or a different type of visa.

Things to know about the Visa process:

• First things first, check if you need a UK Visa. Visit gov.uk/check-uk-visa

• Visa applications can be made online.

• It costs £376 to submit your visa application. You’ll usually get a decision on your visa within three weeks.

• When submitting your application, you’ll also need to pay the Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) to access the National Health Service (NHS). This is £470 per person per year.

• From outside the UK, the earliest you can apply is six months before you start your course, though you must wait until you have received your Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS).

• If your application is successful, you’ll get one of the following:

• A biometric residence permit (if you gave you fingerprints and photograph at a visa application centre.

• A digital immigration status (if you used the UK Immigration: ID Check app)
