They soon discover they’re not alone, and the summer becomes a battlefield of imagination, of pirate ships and adventure, until the real world throws them some unexpected surprises. The Commune

(Thomas Vinterberg, Denmark 2016, 112mins, subtitled) Set in 1970s Copenhagen, this is the latest film from Danish director Thomas Vinterberg, co-founder of the Dogme 95 style of filmmaking. A successful architecture professor sets up a commune in a large mansion he inherits, creating a melting pot of left-wing ideas and personal desires that eventually threaten to bring it all down.
