Truth Two

Each one of us fails to live up to God’s expectations; we disobey God’s perfect will for our lives. This is called “sin.” Sin brings death to our relationship with God, separating us from him forever. Romans 3:23

Truth Three

a few questions to think about: ONE Two

Do you know that God loves you?

Do you understand that you’ve sinned and that your sin prevents you from having a relationship with God?

Three

Do you realize that Jesus is the only way to find forgiveness for your sins?

Four

four

Are you ready to say YES to Jesus and accept him as God’s free gift of forgiveness?

PRAYER

If you would like to receive Jesus and begin a relationship with God today, the next step is simple: talk to God through prayer, telling him that you are willing to accept his free gift of salvation. One example of this prayer might be: “Heavenly Father, thank you for loving me. I confess that I have sinned and that I don’t deserve Your love. I believe that Jesus died to pay the price for my sins and then rose again. I want to accept Your forgiveness, turn from my way of doing things, and give You control of my life. Thank You for saving me and giving me eternal life. Amen.”

A few other things to know

seven

Accepting Jesus Christ as your savior can be incredibly emotional. Experiencing God’s forgiveness for the first time can be a monumental “high.” It is possible, though, that this experience may have left you overwhelmed, excited or exhausted. It’s important to remember that this is just the beginning of a life-long experience of following Jesus. As you learn to submit your life to Him (your heart, your mind, your behaviors) you will be transformed. This is exciting news, because God’s plan for our life is far better than we could imagine on our own; it is more joyful, more peaceful and filled with purpose. Still, it’s not unusual to struggle. God’s transformation of your life doesn’t happen overnight; in fact, it is never finished while we are here on earth. Our transformation, becoming more like Jesus, is a process, and it’s a process that comes with bumps in the road. Being a Christian is difficult, because it means that we cannot let this world dictate how we should live. A foundational part of the Christian life is being directed by God’s love and plan. That means that we may often have to make tough choices in order to follow Him. But when these tough

choices are also the correct ones, they are what help us grow into the person God wants us to become.

ROMANS 12:2 Don’t copy behaviors and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person. Now that you’ve accepted Christ into your life, you can trust him to control the way you’re headed. God will begin to change you and give you new desires, new passions, new morality and a new hope. Your thoughts, character and behavior will begin to match God’s character and his plan. He will continue to help navigate your life, with his best plan in mind.
