Why enterprise education should be provided to all children
Calls to provide specific entrepreneurship education from the start of secondary school are growing. Recent reports emerging from Westminster have highlighted that, if the next generation is to flourish, it is vital that our young people are equipped with an entrepreneurial mindset.
In our fast-changing world, people need to be flexible and able to deal swiftly with shifting situations. Evidence shows that an enterprise-focused educational approach that emphasises the links between subjects, alongside the need to be creative and adaptable, is best suited to develop these capabilities.
The benefits of enterprise education go far beyond running your own business, research shows that employers need staff who offer entrepreneurial thinking and can connect concepts from a range of fields and apply them to new problems.
Enterprise education is future-facing and teaches adaptability and flexibility of thought. This develops a foundation of entrepreneurial traits which will provide a lifetime of value.
