Black Taj: A Fragmented Illusion Competition: Black taj by Unfuse Team: Aaliya, Abhinav, Ishan,Tushar (special mention) Taj Mahal, a monument which has been associated with India’s global image for eras, has many stories attached. An interview with a famous Mughal and Islamic historian Dr Rohma Javed gave us a different perspective than the glorified love tales that this building is often linked to.

Mehtab Bagh being a viewing gallery to the Taj Mahal with an octagonal pool of water to cast the shodow of the Taj. There were many interpretations with a much ‘fragmented’ view that created an sioned’

The Illusion Upon moving the camera from the human eye level to an areal view, it becomes clear that what seems like the Black Taj on viewing from the Taj Mahal, is in fact a combination of three individual structures together forming the illusion. It is to be noted that the complete complex is the Black Taj, and not a single structure.
