ORIGIN Wettbewerb - the 1st PRIZE

11th Edition of ISOVER Multi Comfort House Students Contest Residential function in cold climate- Astana, Kazakhstan Starting with the idea of the main pavilion of Expo 2017 in the shape of the Biosphere, we took splash of a drop falling on the surface of water as a basic concept. The name of our project is ORIGIN. The key idea of the whole residential complex is characterized by three words: clarity, harmony and sustainability. Clarity represents precision of expression of architectural thought , the functionality of each element of the project. It offers the opportunity of realization. Harmony symbolizes the creation of conditions for full harmonious life for the residents of the complex. Moreover, it will help develop the whole residential area in its entirety due to the multifunctionality of the project comprising line connections between the quarters of the city and EXPO urban network. Sustainability implying the sustained usage of natural resources is going to provide people with healthy microclimate in their houses, the possibility of individual temperature control without the need in sophisticated energyintensive facilities and technologies, and the reduction of expenditures on the maintenance of the whole complex.

UMGESTALTUNG DES AREALS AN DER URANIA BERLIN UMGESTALTUNG DES AREALS "AN DER URANIA"

Perspektive An der Urania PERSPEKTIVE AN DER URANIA

Fachhochschule Potsdam Bachelor Thesis SS 18 Einzelarbeit Prof. Jan Kleihues

SCHNITT A - A

HAMLET UNIVERSITY -to uni or not uni-

Perspective Straße des 17. Juni

TU Berlin, Natural Building Lab Semester project WiSe 18-19 Group work Prof. Eike Roswag-Klinge

“The original universities in the middle ages were simply collections of teachers who attracted students because they had something to offer. They were marketplaces of ideas” (C.Alexander, A pattern language) Today for most of the students the reasons to come to campus are compulsory lectures and administrative forces. The idea of an international education network (Bologna) has changed into a gated clumsy institution that prevents autonomy, innovation and the ability to think outside the box. To recreate the unity of research and teaching (Humboldt) we have to create a place that offers opportunities instead of strict rules. A place that increases curiosity and supports self-taught learning and teaching. But most of all it has to be open to everybody! We need a university that is working like an hamlet, a small village, where people meeting people to exchange their goods and their knowledge. A human scale university! That means: 1. Everyone can be a teacher, everyone can be a student - the teachers are responsible for the quality and the appeal of their courses 2. Unity of learning and doing - located and integrated in the campus, workshops and companies offering the best way to learn: hands on! Opposite, what ever could be done digital do not need any physical place! 3. Everything is about connection - innovation and invention are happening in the interpersonal encounter; a university has to be a place of human gathering

The marketplace is the most general, less specified place at the campus and well connected to the city. It is offering ideas, knowledge and human gathering.

Stalls with similar or related program are organised in overlaying program zones. Beside the central place the hearts of every program zone are their tie point.

In the inner zones people are meeting people on eye level as pedestrians. To protected these zones bike parking is located nearby.

Bikes and pedestrians are two species with different claims to their environment, clear arrangements and adaptations will favor a peaceful cohabitation.

The outer ring of the uni stalls is the connection to the audience, the shop-window for potential participants. The size is adapted to the granulation of the surrounding.

D-ZONE Neugestaltung Innenstadt Lychen

Perspective Marketplace area

TU Berlin, Chair for Urban Design and Urbanization Semester project SS19 Group work Prof. Jörg Stollmann

In our design vision we tried to gradually build a network of spaces for visitors and residents of the city of Lychen. The residential area (grey area) and main tourist area (yellow area) are separate, but at certain points they cross each other. In the tourist area the design activates six pins (red area) and 2 new buildings (blue) to create a new interesting and diverse tourist route. This route has been continuously, attractively developed and made visible on the basis of the existing historical “ Pin path with landmarks”. We also tried to extend the original Pins line, to which we included all functional buildings such as workshops, galleries, museums, and cafes. A tourist route with different activities, events in summer, and winter has been created to discover, experience, and increase the attractiveness of the city of Lychen. Therefore the main design offers a better overall experience for residents and tourists throughout the Lychen network. The design of the whole network will be divided into three main steps to reach the final goal step by step. The vision for the future is shown in the overall plan.

URBAN PRODUCTION Am Spreebord, Berlin

Perspektive Am Spreebord

Labor = 22 m² / 45 m²

Testbecken= 200 m²
