Honoring a Heritage
On Tuesday February 4th the Rev. Andrew Penns of Valley View Missionary Baptist Church gave a special presentation to the participants of Adaptive Recreation for Black History Month, discussing the contributions and leadership of African American in the nation and specifically in the Abilene Community. During the discussion period following the presentation participants actively engaged and asked Rev Penns many questions. Adapative Recreation is eager to invite Rev. Penns to participate in future events.
The Sporting Life McMurry University Host Annual Sports Clinic
On Tuesday, April 14th 2020, McMurry University will be hosting the annual sports clinic for participants of Adaptive Recreation. The event will kick off with a pep rally in the Kimbrell Arena at 12:30 PM. This will be followed by clinics in Basketball, Volleyball, Softball, Baseball, Soccer, Football, Track, and Tennis.
This event is highly anticipated by ARS participants every year, and is open free of charge to all participants of Adpative Recreation.
