ENGINEERING AND DESIGN Our engineering and design engagements includes a variety of upstream, midstream oil and gas projects catering to both onshore and offshore needs as well as power generation related projects. We design engineering solutions anywhere in Iraq including in remote and challenging locations. Our Resources WEST QURNA 1 BATCH PLANT Starting as a construction company in the 70’s, AWI has more than 4 decades of experience servicing civil and structural works in Iraq. As part of its expanding operations and drive to provide efficient and up-to-date services to client, AWI now delivers batch plant services. We provide mobile batching plant services all over Iraq including remote areas in Erbil, Basra, and Baghdad. We install in any kind of terrain thus we can serve oil, gas, and power utility companies’ remote operations. Our up-to-date equipment and well-trained staffs ensure reliability of our operations anywhere in the country. We serve ready mix, civil infrastructure, and precast applications. Our batching services offer many advantages including

highly efficient mixing performance and ease of operations. Our plants are equipped with excellent environmental protection functions. This include highly efficient dust collector/spray system to significantly reduce dust pollution as well as modern muffler devices to reduce noise pollution. NORTH RUMAILA WORKSHOP AWI owns a camp and workshop located strategically in North Rumaila, Basra, Iraq. Workshop is a covered shed 30m * 92m, built in AWI’s Base camp in an extensive land area of 250m x250m. The workshop is equipped with machinery required to undertake the full process of fabrication such as cutting, shearing, shaping, forming, bending, hole punching / drilling, welding, Nondestructive Testing, sandblasting and coating application; thus providing a one stop fabrication shop.

NORTH RUMAILA CAMP The camp currently supports over 150 people with accommodations, dining facilities, fully operational kitchen and recreational facilities (gymnasium, movie room, etc.). The current capacity can be increased to support up to 500 residents.

LEADERSHIP ABATHER AL-JUBOORI, Chairman and Chief Strategy Officer Mr. Al Juboori’s leadership has led AWI’s remarkable success over the past 15 years. His continuing drive for efficiency and excellence have positioned AWI among the top EPC companies in Iraq. Mr. Al-Juboori established domestic and international partnerships, serving both commercial and government sectors. Mr. Al-Juboori directs the strategic planning of AWI, focusing on developing new and existing markets as well as relationships with clients and strategic partners aimed at rebuilding Iraq.

EVAN WEISS, President Mr. Weiss joined AWI as President in January 2013. Mr. Weiss was the President of Transfield Services, US Resources and Energy business, where he reorganized the business and completed the acquisition of Steier Oilfield Service in North Dakota. Prior to working for Transfield, Mr. Weiss spent 22 years with Day & Zimmermann and its affiliated subsidiaries and JV’s. With over 30 years experience, Mr. Weiss has led businesses serving government and commercial customers in the US and international arenas. His experience covers a wide spectrum of services ranging from oil well construction, refinery maintenance, turnarounds, biotech engineering and construction to security and logistics services in the US, Iraq and Afghanistan.

JOHN C. HIKINS III, Chief Financial Officer Mr. Hikins has over 22 years of finance and accounting experience in both the commercial and government sectors. He worked for SOC’s International Security and Logistics business as the Director of Business Management. During this time, his contributions resulted in contract awards in Iraq and Afghanistan in excess of $500M. Prior to joining SOC, Mr. Hikins spent 14 years working for Day & Zimmermann, in various aspects of finance, accounting and pricing.

Her international business experience, brings a solid approach to planning, directing, and problem solving ensuring the day-to-day operations operate in the most efficient and cost effective manner in the procurement field, in addition to other fields.

Director of Business Development Ambitious and intensely focused on bottom-line results and customer satisfaction. Mr. Canning has brought valuable contribution in developing and maintaining contracts and identifying strategies for business development and growth.

Over the past 44 years, Ms. Alazawi has held several leadership roles in business directing and development, project management, as well as design and planning engineering. To date, Ms. Alazawi has successfully completed projects and has worked within organizations including those within the Iraqi Government, construction industries, and education institutions. TOBY BAKER, Director of HSE & Compliance Toby Baker is AWI’s Director of HSE & Compliance and oversees implementation and auditing all of the Health, Safety, Environmental, regulatory and contractual compliance functions. For the past 5 years, Baker has developed and managed HSE and Compliance programs, covering over 35 locations throughout the harshest environments of Iraq. He has successfully operated and closed out multiple U.S. Government contracts without any major compliance concerns. Baker has mobilized projects and developed ongoing compliance systems throughout the oil and gas sector in the Basra Oil with clients such as ExxonMobil, ENI, Halliburton and Schlumberger.

Over the last 6 years Mr. Canning has delivered topperforming sales, marketing and business development with proven ability to drive business expansion through sales initiatives while delivering revenue growth, market share, and market penetration in Iraq.

JOHN LAWRENCE LARTIN, Director of Contracts John has over 30 years of experience in transactional law, servicing diverse industries in both US domestic markets and international companies. John started working with AWI in 2013, supporting AWI’s varied business transactions. After earning his BA in Economics from SUNY Cortland, John began his career at Crane Co.’s New York headquarters, for its Valves, Fittings & Actuators Division, spending 10 years learning product, project execution and contract administration, till joining Day & Zimmermann’s Law Department in Philadelphia - reporting to its General Counsel, gaining valuable and extensive transactional law experience managing its Contracts Group servicing a wide array of industries: Engineering; Construction; Manufacturing; Oil & Gas; Pharmaceutical; Security; Nuclear & Fossil Power; and Temporary Staffing. John earned his Risk Management ARM and CPCU certification from the Insurance Society of America and thrived in transactional law, D&Z supported his evening division enrollment in Temple Law School graduating with his Juris Doctorate in 2004.

Baker has a Bachelor of Science from the University of North Texas in Emergency Administration and Planning, with emphasis on contingency planning.

WALID A. ISMAIL, Business Manager As business manager, Walid A. Ismail is responsible for advancing AWI’s sales operations, client services, and business development functions. He has over 25 years of experience in industrial and oil and gas project execution and commercial management, engineering, procurement, QAQC, installation and commissioning works. An Electromechanical Engineer, Mr. Ismail has strong background in oil and gas processing technologies and specifications. He is well versed in industry design codes and standards including API, Shell DEP’s, NFPA, and NEC. He also has extensive experience in startup and commissioning, HAZOP, safety review, and in conducting risk assessment studies. Prior to working with AWI, Mr. Ismail held various posts in multinational oil and gas companies. He had executed many successful projects for AGIP, Bechtel, Foster Wheeler, Hitachi Plant and Electrecite De France. He is committed to value creation and performance as well as safety, cost and on schedule execution of projects.

MARIA VANESSA PASCUAL, Proposals Manager, a member of APMP Ms. Vanessa Pascual is one of the pioneer employees of AWI. After joining the company in 2008, she quickly rose through the ranks, holding a variety of technical and managerial-level positions in business development and operations. Ms. Pascual has extensive industry experience and a track record of executing with excellence and delivering results. For over a decade, she had managed AWI contracts with government clients (LOGCAP) and multinational oil and gas companies as Contracts Administrator, while simultaneously performing administrative and human resource related functions. Now, as a proposals manager, she is responsible for overseeing all proposal activities including ensuring compliance to clients’ requirements and developing strategies to win projects for AWI . Having spent her entire professional career at AWI, she lives by the company’s values and mission. Her experience, hard work, discipline, professional growth and flexibility

combined with AWI Senior Management’s mentoring, and support from her co-workers molded her to become the leader that she is now. Ms. Pascual is a graduate of BSc. in Management from the College of the Immaculate Conception, Philippines, and holds a diploma in Essentials of Commercial Contract Management with Villanova University. She is a proud member of Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP). She lives by her principle “Sheer dedication and hard work are the keys to success”. She tirelessly offers value to AWI and its clients by incorporating best practices in AWI projects and activities.

WILFRED WILSON, Estimation Manager Wilfred Wilson is AWI’s Estimation Manager with more than 10 years of experience in proposals development, project estimation and management. He currently leads the company’s project cost estimation activities, variation proposal, budgeting, billing, and subcontractor administration.

A mechanical engineer, Mr. Wilson also provides technical advisory and supervision support to AWI’s oil, gas and power plant development projects including oil field piping construction, hot tapping, fabrication, hydro testing, erection and commissioning, shutdowns and tie-ins. These include engagements with top oil and gas firms in Iraq such as ExxonMobil Iraq Limited, Weatherford Oil Tool Middle East Limited, PETRONAS Carigali Iraq Holding B.V. and Halliburton Worldwide Limited. Prior to joing AWI, Mr. Wilson served as Project Engineer and Costing and Billing Engineer at Galfar Engineering & Contracting, UAE serving clients such as Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations (ADCO) and Petrofac International Ltd. He stared his Engineering career with IB Construction, India. Mr. Wilson is an enterprising leader with excellent communication, analytical, problem solving and management skills. He earned his Mechanical Engineering degree at B-Tech, India and completed a post graduate Specialization Course on Oil Field Engineering & Quality Control.


AJAIKUMAR MUNDANGATTIL, QAQC Manager Ajaikumar Mundangattil is a Quality Management Systems expert in oil and gas construction. He joined AWI in 2018 bringing with him more than 20 years of technical and managerial experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QAQC). Mr. Mundangattil had efficiently deployed and maintained Quality Programs on a wide range of projects in the energy sector. His diverse experience had gained him knowledge of QAQC requirements on multiple disciplines including civil, mechanical and electrical and instrumentation fields. A Mechanical Engineer, Mr. Mundangattil had completed various trainings including the Project Management Program by Cambridge Educational Institute, ISO 9000: 2000 Internal Quality Auditor Course by RWTUV, ISO 9000: 1994 Internal Quality Auditor Course by KPMG, Lead Auditor Training in ISO 9001:2008 by LRQA, Chennai and Senior Welding Inspector Course by TWI Certifications Ltd. He holds certificates as Lead Auditor ISO 9001: 2008; CSWIP 3.2Certified Senior Welding Inspector by TWI-UK; and ASNT NDT Level-II (RT, MT, PT). Prior to joining AWI, he held various technical and managerial QAQC positions with Consolidated Contractors’ Company, Exterran, Al Sadiq & Partners Contracting Co. and Godrej & Boyce Manufacturing Co.
