John’s gospel is a work of art. Matt Rawle asked his friend, Louisiana-based artist Sarah Duet, what the “I Am” statements looked like to her as an artist. What she offered in return left him breathless. Matt Rawle and Abingdon Press have partnered with Sarah Duet to create six works of art based on the “I Am” statements, to offer a richer experience and understanding of the symbolic images Jesus used to reveal himself in John’s Gospel.
