SCCA GOES LIVE WITH POWERCHART ONCOLOGY
Edition 4 | Q3 2015
Welcome to the Oncology family: Cook County In May the John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County went live with PowerChart Oncology. The hospital provides both Inpatient and Outpatient Oncology services. With 10 clinics dedicated to cancer services, they provide over 2,000 oncology and haematology consults, and see over 10,000 chemotherapy visits per year. Cook County went live with over 300 Chemotherapy treatment plans. Overall there has been a positive attitude throughout the project, and the adoption of the new system has been high in a very busy environment. With the implementation of the system, end users have expressed the value seen in patient safety, and an
increase in work efficiency. Two months after going live, average Order Entry percentage is over 90%! Surveys have reflected high end user satisfaction regarding the chemotherapy ordering process and capturing staging documentation. Congratulations to the team and everyone who worked on, and will continue to work with CCHHS.
