Shawn is a native of Southwest Georgia. He grew up hunting and fishing the backwoods of the south. He got into flats fishing 10 years ago and has been hooked ever since. He has a passion for inshore fishing that is unmatched. When he is not tournament fishing he enjoys hanging out with his wife and kids, camping and the great outdoors.
Chris was born and raised in Pensacola, FL. From a very early age, his father and grandfather had him on the water fishing in the summer and in the woods hunting in the winter. I guess you can say he was destined for the outdoors to be his passion. Chris has a real love for teaching the art of fishing and is routinely found working boat shows or giving seminars at tackle shops or other venues.
When not working and can get away, Robert likes to spend his time on the rivers around him. Robert is fortunate to live with the Guadalupe River close to his back yard and also fishes the Colorado River, Blanco River, Llano River and many others that he has nearby. You can even find him chasing tails in the saltwater marshes of Louisiana and the Texas coast. Robert’s hobby is building custom fishing rods for both fresh and saltwater.
Hunter King is a 16 year old Professional Kayak Angler known as RiverCrawler in the kayak fishing world. He is from the small town of Locust Fork, Alabama where he fishes many rivers and lakes. He also plans to attend Auburn University for a degree in Fisheries Management, fish for their Collegiate Fishing Team and start up a Kayak Fishing Team.

Bradley Roy is living his dream of being a professional bass angler. He began fishing tournaments at age 5 and progressed quickly. Bradley graduated high school early in order to compete on the 2009 Bassmaster Southern Open Series in hopes of qualifying for the Bassmaster Elite Series. Bradley finished 5th in that series and signed up for the Elite Series. After a back and forth battle with fellow Onyx pro-staffer Cliff Crochet, Bradley was crowned the 2010 Bassmaster Elite Series rookie of the year. In addition to the 2011 Elite Series, Bradley will also compete in the Outdoor Channel’s Ultimate Match Fishing Championship.

Advantages: Generally the most comfortable type for continuous wear. Designed for general boating or the activity that is marked on the device. Available in many styles, including vests and flotation coats. Disadvantages: Wearer may have to tilt head back to avoid going face-down. In rough water, a wearer’s face may often be covered by waves. Not for extended survival in rough water. Sizes: Many individual sizes from small-child through adult. TYPE IV – Throwable Device / minimum buoyancy requirement – Ring buoys 16.5 lbs., Boat cushions 18.0 lbs. Good for calm, inland water with heavy boat traffic, where help is always nearby. Advantages: Can be thrown to someone, good back-up to wearable PFD’s. Some can be used as seat cushion. Disadvantages: Not for unconscious persons. Not for nonswimmers or children. Not for many hours in rough water. Kinds: Cushions, rings, and horseshoe buoys.
