َ ْ ‫ت َو‬ ‫يم‬ َ ‫ٱل‬ ِ ‫ٱلس َٰم َٰو‬ ُ ‫ي ٱلْ َع ِظ‬ ُّ ِ‫ود ُه حِ ْف ُظ ُه َما َو ُه َو ٱلْ َعل‬ ُ ‫رض َو َل َي ُٔـ‬ َّ ‫ِّم ْن عِ لْ ِمهِ ِإ َّل ِب َما َش ٓا َء َو ِس َع كُ ْر ِس ُّي ُه‬ Allah! There is no god worthy of worship except Him, the Ever-Living, All-Sustaining. Neither drowsiness nor sleep overtakes Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who could possibly intercede with Him without His permission? He fully knows what is ahead of them and what is behind them, but no one can grasp any of His knowledge—except what He wills to reveal. His Seat encompasses the heavens and the earth, and the preservation of both does not tire Him. For He is the Most High, the Greatest. Al-Baqarah (2): v.255

Ar-Raab The Lord and Cherisher ْ ‫ور ذُ و ٱلْ َّر ْح َمةِ لَ ْو ُي َؤاخِ ذُ ُهم ِب َما كَ َس ُب‬ ‫وا لَ َع َّج َل‬ َ ‫َو َر ُّب‬ ُ ‫ك ٱلْ َغ ُف‬ ْ ‫اب َبل لَّ ُهم َّم ْو ِع ٌد لَّ ن َي ِج ُد‬ ‫وا ِمن ُدونِ هِ َم ْوئِ ًل‬ َ َ‫ٱلعذ‬ َ ‫لَ ُه ُم‬

And your Lord is the Ever-Forgiving, Owner of Mercy. Were He to call them to account for what they earned, surely He would have hastened on their punishment. Instead they have their appointed time beyond which they will find no escape. Al-Kahf (18): v.58

Al-Malik The King

So high above all is Allah, the King, the Truth. And, [O Muhammad], do not hasten with [recitation of] the Qur’an before its revelation is completed to you, and say, “My Lord, increase me in knowledge.” Ta Ha (20): v.114

Al-Maalik The Master and Owner ‫ك ِم َّمن تَ َش ٓا ُء‬ َ ْ‫نز ُع ٱلْ ُمل‬ َ ْ‫ك ٱلْ ُملْ كِ تُ ؤتِ ي ٱلْ ُمل‬ َ ِ‫ُق ِل ٱللَّ ُه َّم َٰمل‬ ِ َ‫ك َمن تَ َش ٓا ُء َوت‬ ‫ير‬ َ َّ‫ير ِإن‬ ٌ ‫ى كُ ِّل َشيءٍ َق ِد‬ ٰ َ‫ك َعل‬ ُ َ‫َوتُ ِعزُّ َمن تَ َش ٓا ُء َوتُ ذِ ُّل َمن تَ َش ٓا ُء ِب َيدِ َك ٱلْ خ‬

Say, ‘O Allah, Master of all sovereignty! You give sovereignty to whomever You wish, and strip of sovereignty whomever You wish; You make mighty whomever You wish, and You abase whomever You wish; all good is in Your hand. Indeed You have power over all things. Ali-Imran (3): v.26

Alladhi lahu-Mulk The One to Whom Belongs the Dominion َ ْ ‫ٱلس َٰم َٰوتِ َو‬ ُ ْ‫ٱلَّ ِذي لَ ُه ُمل‬ ‫يد‬ ٌ ‫ى كُ ِّل َشيءٖ َش ِه‬ ٰ َ‫ٱل ْر ِض َوٱللَّ ُه َعل‬ َّ ‫ك‬ The One to Whom Belongs the Dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness over everything. Al Buruj (85): v.9

Al-Wahid The One, The Unique ‫يم‬ ُ ِ‫ٱلرح‬ َّ ‫ٱلر ْح َٰم ُن‬ َّ ‫َو ِإ َٰل ُهكُ ْم ِإ َٰله َٰوحِ د َّ ٓل ِإ َٰل َه ِإ َّل ُه َو‬ And your god is One God. There is no deity worthy of worship except Him, the Beneficient, the Most Merciful. Al-Baqarah (2): v.163

Say, He is Allah, the One. Al-Ikhlas (112): v.1

Indeed the knowledge of the Hour is with Allah. He sends down the rain, and He knows what is in the wombs. No soul knows what it will earn tomorrow, and no soul knows in what land it will die. Indeed Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware. Luqman (31): v.34

Al-Khabeer The All-Aware O mankind! Indeed We created you from a male and a female, and made you nations and tribes that you may identify yourselves with one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware. Al-Hujurat (49): v.13

Al-Hakeem The All-Wise

It cannot be proven false from any angle. It is a revelation from the All-Wise, the One Worthy of all Praise. Al-Fussilat (41): v.42

Verily, We used to invoke Him (Alone and none else) before. Verily, He is the Source of All Goodness, the Most Merciful. At-Tur (52): v.28

O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous. Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? Al-Infitar (82): v.6

It is He who sends down upon His Servant (Muhammad) verses of clear evidence that He may bring you out from darknesses into the light. And indeed, Allah is to you Kind and Merciful. Al-Hadid (57): v.9

Do they possess the treasuries of the mercy of your Lord, the Almighty, the Constant Bestower. Sad (38): v.9

As-Samee The All-Hearing

So if they believe in the same as you believe in, then they have been rightly guided; but if they turn away, they are only in dissension, and Allah will be sufficient for you against them. And He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing. Al-Bakarah (2): v.137

Al-Baseer The All-Seeing ِ‫ام ِإلَ ى ٱلْ َم ْس ِجد‬ ِ ‫ى ِب َع ْبدِ هِ لَ ْي ًل ِّم َن ٱلْ َم ْس ِجدِ ٱلْ َح َر‬ ٰ ‫ى َأ ْس َر‬ ٓ ِ‫ُس ْب َٰح َن ٱلَّ ذ‬ َْ ‫ير‬ ُ ‫يع ٱلْ َب ِص‬ ُ ‫ٱلس ِم‬ َّ ‫ى ٱلَّ ذِ ى َٰب َركْ نَ ا َح ْولَ ُه لِ نُ ِر َي ُه ِم ْن َء َٰايتِ نَ ٓا ِإنَّ ُه ُه َو‬ ٰ ‫ٱل ْق َص‬ Exalted is He who took His Servant by night from al-Masjid al-Haram to al-Masjid al-Aqsa, whose surroundings We have blessed, to show him of Our signs. Indeed, He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing. Al Isra (17): v.1

Alif, Lām, Rā. This is a Book We have sent down to you that you may bring mankind out from darkness into light, by the command of their Lord, to the path of the Almighty, the All-Praiseworthy. Ibrahim (14): v.1

Al-Afouw The Pardoner | Forgiver ‫ان ٱللَّ ُه َع ُف ًّوا َغ ُفورا‬ َ ِ‫َف ُأ ْو َٰٓلئ‬ َ َ‫نه ْم َوك‬ ُ ‫ك َع َسى ٱللَّ ُه َأن َي ْع ُف َو َع‬ As for such, it is likely that Allah would pardon them. Allah is ever Pardoning | Forgiving and Ever-Forgiving. An-Nisa (4): v.99

You invite me to disbelieve in Allah and associate with Him what I have no knowledge of, while I invite you to the Almighty, All-Forgiving. Ghafir (40): v.42

Say, “O My servants who have transgressed against themselves by sinning, do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Ever-Forgiving, the Most Merciful.” Az-Zumar (39): v.53

Then glorify the praises of your Lord and seek His forgiveness, for certainly He is ever Accepting of Repentance. An-Nasr (110): v.3

Al-Khaaliq The Creator

That is Allah, your Lord; there is no deity except Him, the Creator of all things, so worship Him. And He is Disposer of all things. Al-An’am (6): v.102

He is Allah, the Creator, the Originator, the Bestower of Forms. To Him belong the Best Names. Whatever there is in the heavens glorifies Him and[whatever there is in he earth,and He is the Almighty, the All-Wise. Al-Hashr (59): v.24

Al-Qadeer The All-Powerful, The Able

For every nation there is a direction to which they face (in their prayers). So hasten towards all that is good. Wheresoever you may be, Allah will bring you together (on the Day of Resurrection). Truly, Allah is Able to do all things. Al-Baqarah (2): v.148

Al-Lateef The Most Subtle Shouldn’t the One who created know (His creation)? For He alone is the Most Subtle, All-Aware. Al-Mulk (67): v.14

Al-Haseeb The Reckoner of All Things

And when you are greeted, respond with a better greeting or at least similarly. Surely Allah is a vigilant Reckoner of all things. An-Nisa (4): v.86

Ar-Raqeeb The Ever Watchful

O humanity! Be mindful of your Lord who created you from a single soul, and from it He created its mate, and through both He spread countless men and women. And be mindful of Allah—in whose name you appeal to one another and honor family ties. Surely Allah is Ever Watchful over you. An-Nisa (4): v.1

Al-Hafeedth The Guardian And indeed Iblis (Satan) did prove true his thought about them, and they followed him, all except a group of true believers. And he (Satan) had no authority over them, except that We might test him, who believes in the Hereafter from him who is in doubt about it. And your Lord is a Guardian over everything. Saba (34): v. 20-21

Al-Mumeet The Creator of Death

O you who believe! Do not be like the unfaithful who say about their brothers who travel throughout the land or engage in battle, “If they had stayed with us, they would not have died or been killed.” Allah makes such thinking a cause of agony in their hearts. It is Allah who gives life and causes death. And Allah is All-Seeing of what you do. Ali’ Imran (3): v.156

Al-Qahhar The Prevailer

If Allah had intended to take a son, He could have chosen from what He creates whatever He willed. Exalted is He; He is Allah, the One, the Prevailing. Az-Zumar (39): v.4

Al-Qahir The All-Prevailing ً‫وق عِ َبادِ هِ َو ُي ْر ِس ُل َعلَ ْيكُ م َح َف َظة‬ َ ‫اه ُر َف‬ ِ ‫َو ُه َو ٱلْ َق‬ ٰٓ َّ‫َحت‬ ‫ون‬ ُ ‫ى ِإذَ ا َج ٓا َء َأ َح َدكُ ُم ٱلْ َم‬ َ ‫وت تَ َو َّفتْ ُه ُر ُسلُ نَ ا َو ُه ْم َل ُي َف ِّر ُط‬ He is all-Prevailing over all of His creation, and sends recording-angels, watching over you. When death comes to any of you, Our angels take their soul, never neglecting this duty. Al-An’am (6): v.61

Al-Muqeet The All-Sustainer ً‫يب ِّمنْ َها َو َمن َي ْش َف ْع َش َٰف َعة‬ ٌ ‫َّمن َي ْش َفع َش َٰف َعةً َح َسنَ ةً َيكُ ن لَّ ُه نَ ِص‬ ً ‫ى كُ ِّل َشىءِ ُّم ِق‬ ‫يتا‬ ٰ َ‫ان ٱللَّ ُه َعل‬ َ َ‫َس ِّيئَ ةً َيكُ ن لَّ ُه كِ ْف ٌل ِّمنْ َها َوك‬

Whoever intercedes for a good cause will have a share in the reward, and whoever intercedes for an evil cause will have a share in the burden. And ever is Allah, over all things, the Sustainer. An-Nisa (4): v.85

Al-Wakil The Disposer of Affairs ‫َٰذلِ كُ ُم ٱللَّ ُه َر ُّبكُ ْم َ ٓل ِإ َٰل َه ِإ َّل ُه َو َٰخلِ ُق كُ ِّل‬

‫يل‬ ٌ ِ‫ى كُ ِّل َشيءٍ َوك‬ ٰ َ‫وه َو ُه َو َعل‬ ُ ‫ٱع ُب ُد‬ ْ ‫َشيءٖ َف‬ That is Allah, your Lord; There is no god worthy of worship except Him, the Creator of all things, so worship Him. And He is Disposer of all things. Al-An’am (6): v.102

Dhul Jalali wal Ikram The One Possessing Majesty and Honor ‫ام‬ ِ ‫ٱلكْ َر‬ َ ‫ى َو ْج ُه َر ِّب‬ ِ ْ ‫ك ذُ و ٱلْ َج َٰل ِل َو‬ ٰ ‫َو َي ْب َق‬

And the Face of your Lord, the One possessing Majesty and Honor, will abide forever. Ar-Rahman (55): v27

Al-Wadoud The Most Loving ْ ‫ٱستَ ْغ ِف ُر‬ ‫ود‬ ٌ ‫يم َو ُد‬ ٌ ِ‫وب ٓو ْا ِإلَ ْيهِ ِإ َّن َر ِّبى َرح‬ ُ ُ‫وا َر َّبكُ ْم ثُ َّم ت‬ ْ ‫َو‬ And ask forgiveness of your Lord and then repent to Him. Indeed, my Lord is Most Merciful, Most Loving. Hud (11): v.90

For He is the All-Knowing, the Granter of Success.” Saba (34): v26

Ar-Razaq The Provider ‫ون‬ ُ ‫زق َو َم ٓا ُأ ِر‬ ُ ‫َم ٓا ُأ ِر‬ ِ ‫يد َأن ُي ْط ِع ُم‬ ٍ ‫يد ِمنْ ُهم ِّمن ِّر‬

‫ون‬ ُ ‫َو َما خَ لَ ْق‬ َ ‫ٱل‬ ِ ْ ‫ت ٱلْ ِج َّن َو‬ ِ ‫نس ِإ َّل لِ َي ْع ُب ُد‬

‫ين‬ ُ َّ‫ٱلرز‬ ُ ِ‫اق ذُ و ٱلْ ُق َّوةِ ٍْٱل َمت‬ َّ ‫ِإ َّن ٱللَّ َه ُه َو‬

And I did not create the jinn and the humans except that they worship Me (Alone). I desire no provision from them, nor do I desire that they should feed Me. Indeed it is Allah who is the Provider, the Strong, the Powerful.

Al-Hakam The Judge ً َ‫َأ َف َغ ْي َر ٱللَّ هِ َأ ْبتَ ِغى َحك‬ ‫ب ُم َف َّص ًل‬ َ ‫ى َأنزَ َل ِإلَ ْيكُ ُم ٱلْ كِ َٰت‬ ٓ ِ‫ما َو ُه َو ٱلَّ ذ‬ Say, [O Prophet], “Should I seek a judge other than Allah while He is the One who has revealed for you the book with the truth perfectly explained?” Al-An’am (6): v.114

Al-Adil The Just ‫ى‬ ُ ‫ى ذِ ى‬ ٰ ‫ى َو َينْ َه‬ ٰ ‫ٱلق ْر َب‬ ِ ْ ‫ٱلع ْد ِل َو‬ َ ‫ِإ َّن ٱللَّ َه َي ْأ ُم ُر ِب‬ ِٕ ‫ٱل ْح َٰس ِن َو ِإيتَ ٓا‬ ‫ون‬ َ ‫ي َي ِع ُظكُ ْم لَ َعلَّ كُ ْم تَ ذَ كَّ ُر‬ ِ ْ‫َع ِن ٱلْ َف ْح َش ٓاءِ َوٱلْ ُمنكَ ِر َوٱلْ َبغ‬

Indeed, Allah orders justice and good conduct and giving to relatives and forbids immorality and bad conduct and oppression. He admonishes you that perhaps you will be reminded. Al-Nahl (16): v.90

Al-Jami’un-Nas The Gatherer of Mankind ِ‫ب ِفيه‬ ٍ ‫اس لِ َي‬ ِ َّ‫ام ُع ٱلن‬ ِ ‫ك َج‬ َ َّ‫َر َّبنَ ٓا ِإن‬ َ ‫وم َّل َر ْي‬ ‫اد‬ َ ‫يع‬ َ ‫ف ٱلْ ِم‬ ُ ِ‫ِإ َّن ٱللَّ َه َل ُيخْ ل‬

Our Lord! Verily, it is You who will Gather Mankind together on the Day about which there is no doubt. Verily, Allah never breaks His Promise. Ali’ Imran (3): v.9

An-Nur The Light َ ‫ت َو‬ ‫ب‬ ِ ‫ٱأل‬ ِ ‫ٱلس َٰم َٰو‬ ٌ َ‫اجةُ كَ َأنَّ َها كَ ْوك‬ َ ‫اجةٍ ٱلزُّ َج‬ َ ‫اح ِفى زُ َج‬ ُ ‫اح ٱلْ ِم ْص َب‬ ٌ ‫يها ِم ْص َب‬ َ ‫ورهِ كَ ِم ْشكَ ٰوةٍ ِف‬ َّ ‫ور‬ ُ ُ‫ٱللَّ ُه ن‬ ِ ُ‫رض َمثَ ُل ن‬ ‫ي ُء َولَ ْو لَ ْم تَ ْم َس ْس ُه‬ َ ‫ي ُي‬ ٓ ‫اد زَ ْيتُ َها ُي ِض‬ ُ َ‫رب َّيةٍ َيك‬ ِ ‫وق ُد ِمن َش َج َرةٍ ُّم َٰب َركَ ةٍ زَ ْيتُ ونَ ةٍ َّل َش ْر ِق َّيةٍ َو َل َغ‬ ٌّ ‫ُد ِّر‬

َ ْ ‫ب ٱللَّ ُه‬ ‫يم‬ ِ َّ‫ٱل ْم َٰث َل لِ لن‬ ٌ ِ‫اس َوٱللَّ ُه ِبكُ ِّل َشىءٍ َعل‬ ُ ‫ورهِ َمن َي َش ٓا ُء َو َي ْض ِر‬ ٰ َ‫ور َعل‬ ٌ ُّ‫نَ ٌار ن‬ ِ ُ‫ور َي ْه ِدى ٱللَّ ُه لِ ن‬ ٍ ُ‫ى ن‬ Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The parable of His Light is a niche wherein is a lamp —the lamp is in a glass, the glass as it were a glittering star— lit from a blessed olive tree, neither eastern nor western, whose oil almost lights up, though fire should not touch it. Light upon light. Allah guides to His Light whomever He wishes. Allah draws parables for mankind, and Allah has Knowledge of all things. An-Nur (24): v.35

Al-Badi’a The Orginator َ ْ ‫ت َو‬ ٰٓ ‫ٱل ْر ِض َو ِإذَ ا َق َض‬ ‫ى‬ ِ ‫ٱلس َٰم َٰو‬ ُ ‫َب ِد‬ َّ ‫يع‬ ‫ون‬ ُ ‫مرا َف ِإنَّ َما َي ُق‬ ُ ُ‫ول لَ ُه كُ ن َف َيك‬ ً ‫َأ‬ He is the Originator of the heavens and the earth! When He decrees a matter, He simply tells it, “Be!” and it is! Al-Bukarah (2): v.117

Al-Qaabid The Withholder ‫رضا َح َسنً ا َف ُي َٰض ِع َف ُه لَ ُه‬ ً ‫َم ْن ذَ ا ٱلَّ ِذى ُي ْق ِر ُض ٱللَّ َه َق‬

‫ون‬ ً ‫َأ ْض َع‬ َ ‫رج ُع‬ َ ُ‫يرةً َوٱللَّ ُه َي ْق ِب ُض َو َي ْب ُص ُط َو ِإلَ يهِ ت‬ َ ِ‫افا كَ ث‬ Who will lend to Allah a good loan which Allah will multiply many times over? It is Allah alone who Withholds and extends your wealth. And to Him you will all be returned. Al-Bukarah (2): v.245

Al-Baasit The Extender ‫رضا َح َسنً ا َف ُي َٰض ِع َف ُه لَ ُه‬ ً ‫َم ْن ذَ ا ٱلَّ ِذى ُي ْق ِر ُض ٱللَّ َه َق‬

‫ون‬ ً ‫َأ ْض َع‬ َ ‫رج ُع‬ َ ُ‫يرةً َوٱللَّ ُه َي ْق ِب ُض َو َي ْب ُص ُط َو ِإلَ يهِ ت‬ َ ِ‫افا كَ ث‬ Who will lend to Allah a good loan which Allah will multiply many times over? It is Allah alone who withholds and Extends your wealth. And to Him you will all be returned. Al-Bukarah (2): v.245

As-Shaheed The Witness َ‫ان ِ ُلنذِ َركُ م ِبهِ َو َمن َبلَ غ‬ ُ ‫ى َٰهذَ ا ٱلْ ُق ْر َء‬ َّ َ‫ى ِإل‬ َ ِ‫يد َب ْينِ ي َو َب ْينَ كُ ْم َو ُأوح‬ ُ ‫ى َشيءٍ َأكْ َب ُر َش َٰه َدةً ُق ِل ٱللَّ ُه َش ِه‬ ُّ ‫ُق ْل َأ‬ ‫ون‬ َ ُ‫ى ٌء ِّم َّما تُ ْش ِرك‬ ٓ ‫ى ُقل َّ ٓل َأ ْش َه ُد ُق ْل ِإنَّ َما ُه َو ِإ َٰله َٰوحِ ٌد َو ِإنَّ نِ ى َب ِر‬ ٰ ‫ون َأ َّن َم َع ٱللَّ هِ َءالِ َهةً ُأخْ َر‬ َ ‫َأئِ نَّ كُ ْم لَ تَ ْش َه ُد‬

Say (O Muhammad), “What thing is of most weight in testimony?” Say, “Allah is Witness between me and you. And this Qur’an was revealed to me that I may warn you thereby and whomever it reaches. Do you (truly) testify that with Allah there are other deities?” Say, “I will not testify (with you). “Say, “Indeed, He is but one God, and indeed, I am free of what you associate (with Him).” Al-An’am (7): v.19

Al-Mubdee The Originator of Creation ‫يد ُه‬ ُ ‫ُق ْل َه ْل ِمن ُش َركَ ٓائِ كُ م َّمن َي ْب َد ُؤ ْا ٱلخَ لْ َق ثُ َّم ُي ِع‬ ‫ون‬ َ ُ‫ى ت‬ َ ُ‫ؤفك‬ ٰ َّ‫يد ُه َف َأن‬ ُ ‫ُق ِل ٱللَّ ُه َي ْب َد ُؤ ْا ٱلْ خَ لْ َق ثُ َّم ُي ِع‬ Say, “Is there anyone among your partners who originates the creation and then brings it back?” Say, “Allah originates the creation, then He will bring it back.” So how are you deluded? Yunus (10): v.34

Al-Fa’alul Lima Yurid The One who does what He Intends َ ‫ت َو‬ ‫رض‬ ُ ‫ٱأل‬ ُ ‫ٱلس َٰم َٰو‬ ِ‫امت‬ َّ َ ‫يها َما َد‬ َ ‫ين ِف‬ َ ِ‫َٰخلِ د‬ ‫يد‬ ُ ‫ك َف َّع‬ َ ‫ك ِإ َّن َر َّب‬ َ ‫ِإ َّل َما َش ٓا َء َر ُّب‬ ُ ‫ال لِّ َما ُي ِر‬

[They will be] staying there forever, as long as the heavens and the earth will endure, except what your Lord wills. Surely your Lord does what He intends. Hud (11): v.107

Al-Ghanee The Self-Sufficient ‫ف ِمن‬ َ ‫َو َر ُّب‬ ُّ ِ‫ك ٱلْ َغن‬ ْ ِ‫ٱلر ْح َمةِ ِإن َي َش ْأ ُيذْ ِه ْبكُ ْم َو َي ْستَ خْ ل‬ َّ ‫ي ذُ و‬ ‫ين‬ ٍ ‫نش َأكُ م ِّمن ذُ ِّر َّيةِ َق‬ َ ‫َب ْعدِ كُ م َّما َي َش ٓا ُء كَ َم ٓا َأ‬ َ ‫وم َءاخَ ِر‬ Your Lord is the Self-Sufficient, Full of Mercy. If He wills, He can do away with you and replace you with whoever He wills, just as He produced you from the offspring of other people. Al-An’am (6): v.133

Al-Mughnee The Enricher ْ ‫ون نَ َج ٌس َف َل َي ْق َر ُب‬ ‫وا‬ َ ُ‫ٱلم ْش ِرك‬ ُ ‫امنُ ٓو ْا ِإنَّ َما‬ َ ‫ين َء‬ َ ِ‫َٰٓي َأ ُّي َها ٱلَّ ذ‬

‫ف‬ ِ ‫ام َب ْع َد َع‬ َ ‫ام ِه ْم َٰهذَ ا َو ِإ ْن خِ ْفتُ ْم َع ْيلَ ةً َف َس ْو‬ َ ‫ٱلْ َم ْس ِج َد ٱلْ َح َر‬ ‫يم‬ ٌ ِ‫يم َحك‬ ٌ ِ‫ُيغْ نِ يكُ ُم ٱللَّ ُه ِمن َف ْضلِ هِ ِإن َش ٓا َء ِإ َّن ٱللَّ َه َعل‬

O you who have believed, indeed the polytheists are unclean, so let them not approach al-Masjid al-Haram after this year. Should you fear poverty, Allah will enrich you from His bounty if He wills. Indeed, Allah is all-Knowing and all-Wise. At-Taubah (9): v.28

Al-Haleem The Forbearing ‫نف ِسكُ ْم‬ ُ ‫ي َأ‬ ٓ ‫ٱعلَ ُم ٓو ْا َأ َّن ٱللَّ َه َي ْعلَ ُم َما ِف‬ ْ ‫َو‬ ‫يم‬ ٌ ِ‫ور َحل‬ ٌ ‫ٱعلَ ُم ٓو ْا َأ َّن ٱللَّ َه غَ ُف‬ ْ ‫وه َو‬ ُ ‫ٱحذَ ُر‬ ْ ‫َف‬ And know that Allah knows what is within yourselves, so beware of Him. And know that Allah is Ever-Forgiving, Forbearing. Al-Buqarah (2): v.235

As-Shaakir The All Appreciative ‫يم‬ ٌ ِ‫َو َمن تَ َط َّو َع خَ ْي ًرا َف ِإ َّن ٱللَّ َه َشاكِ ٌر َعل‬ And whoever does good willingly, Allah is truly Appreciative, All-Knowing. Al-Baqarah (2): v.158

As-Shakoor The Most Appreciative ‫ور‬ ٌ ُ‫ور َشك‬ ٌ ‫يد ُهم ِّمن َف ْضلِ هِ ِإنَّ ُه غَ ُف‬ َ ‫ور ُه ْم َو َي ِز‬ َ ‫لِ ُي َو ِّف َي ُه ْم ُأ ُج‬ That He may give them in full their rewards and increase for them of His bounty. Indeed, He is Ever-Forgiving and Most-Appreciative.

Al-Qareeb The One who is Near ‫ت‬ ُ ‫ٱهتَ َد ْي‬ ُ ْ‫ُق ْل ِإن َضلَ ل‬ ْ ‫ى نَ ْف ِسى َو ِإ ِن‬ ٰ َ‫ت َف ِإنَّ َم ٓا َأ ِض ُّل َعل‬ ‫يب‬ ٌ ‫يع َق ِر‬ ٌ ‫ى ِإنَّ ُه َس ِم‬ ٓ ‫ى َر ِّب‬ َّ َ‫ى ِإل‬ ٓ ِ‫َف ِب َما ُيوح‬

Say, ‘If I go astray, my going astray is only to my own harm, and if I am rightly guided that is because of what my Lord has revealed to me. Indeed He is all-Hearing, the One who is Near. Saba (34): v.50

Al-Mujeeb The Responsive One ‫يب‬ ٌ ‫يب ُّم ِج‬ ٌ ‫وب ٓو ْا ِإلَ ْیهِ ِإ َّن َر ِّبى َق ِر‬ ُ ُ‫وه ثُ َّم ت‬ ُ ‫ٱستَ ْغ ِف ُر‬ ْ ‫َف‬ So seek His forgiveness and turn to Him in repentance. Surely my Lord is Ever Near, All-Responsive to prayers. Hud (11): v.61

Al-Kaafi The Sufficient One ‫ين‬ َ َ‫َألَ ْي َس ٱللَّ ُه ِبكَ افٍ َع ْب َد ُه َو ُيخَ ِّو ُفون‬ َ ِ‫ك ِبٱلَّ ذ‬ ٍ‫ِمن ُدونِ هِ َو َمن ُي ْضلِ ِل ٱللَّ ُه َف َما لَ ُه ِم ْن َهاد‬ Is Allah not sufficient for His servant? Yet they threaten you with other powerless gods besides Him! Whoever Allah leaves to stray will be left with no guide. Az-Zumar (39): v.36

Al-Wasee The All-Encompassing ‫يل ٱللَّ هِ كَ َمثَ ِل‬ ِ ‫ين ُي‬ َ ‫نف ُق‬ َ ِ‫َّمثَ ُل ٱلَّ ذ‬ ِ ‫ون َأ ْم َٰولَ ُه ْم ِفي َس ِب‬ ٍ‫نبلَ ةٍ ِّم ْائَ ةُ َح َّبة‬ ْ َ‫نبت‬ ُ ‫ت َس ْب َع َسنَ ِاب َل ِفي كُ ِّل ُس‬ َ ‫َح َّبةٍ َأ‬ ‫يم‬ ٌ ِ‫ف لِ َمن َي َش ٓا ُء َوٱللَّ ُه َٰو ِس ٌع َعل‬ ُ ‫َوٱللَّ ُه ُي َٰض ِع‬

The likeness of those who spend their wealth in the Way of Allah, is as the likeness of a grain (of corn); it grows seven ears, and each ear has a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies (His reward) for whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and All-Knowing. Al-Buqarah (2): v.261

Al-Hadee The Guide ْ ُ‫ك َف ُي ْؤ ِمن‬ ْ ُ‫ين ُأوت‬ ِ‫وا ِبه‬ َ ‫لم َأنَّ ُه ٱلْ َح ُّق ِمن َّر ِّب‬ َ ‫وا ٱلْ ِع‬ َ ِ‫َولِ َي ْعلَ َم ٱلَّ ذ‬

‫يم‬ ٍ ‫ى ِص َٰر ٖط ُّم ْستَ ِق‬ َ ‫َفتُ خْ ِب‬ ٰ َ‫امنُ ٓو ْا ِإل‬ َ ‫ين َء‬ َ ِ‫وب ُهم َو ِإ َّن ٱللَّ َه لَ َهادِ ٱلَّ ذ‬ ُ ُ‫ت لَ ُه ُقل‬ And so those who were given knowledge may know that it is the truth from your Lord and [therefore] believe in it, and their hearts humbly submit to it. And indeed is Allah the Guide of those who have believed to a straight path. Al-Hajj (22): v.54

Al-Haqq The Truth ‫ون ِمن‬ َ ِ‫َٰذل‬ َ ‫ك ِب َأ َّن ٱللَّ َه ُه َو ٱلْ َح ُّق َو َأ َّن َما َي ْد ُع‬

‫ير‬ ُ ‫ى ٱلْ كَ ِب‬ ُّ ِ‫ٱلعل‬ َ ‫ُدونِ هِ ُه َو ٱلْ َٰب ِط ُل َو َأ َّن ٱللَّ َه ُه َو‬ That is because Allah alone is the Truth and what they invoke besides Him is falsehood, and Allah alone is truly the Most High, All-Aware. Al-Hajj (22): v.62

Al-Ilah The True God ‫يم‬ ُ ِ‫ٱلرح‬ َّ ‫ٱلر ْح َٰم ُن‬ َّ ‫َو ِإ َٰل ُهكُ ْم ِإ َٰله َٰوحِ ٌد َّ ٓل ِإ َٰل َه ِإ َّل ُه َو‬ And your god is one God. There is no deity worthy of worship except Him, the Beneficient, the Most Merciful. Al-Baqarah (2): v.163

Al-Mubeen The Manifest and Clear One ‫يه ُم ٱللَّ ُه ِدينَ ُه ُم ٱلْ َح َّق‬ َ ‫َي‬ ِ ‫ومئِ ٍذ ُي َو ِّف‬

‫ين‬ ُ ‫ون َأ َّن ٱللَّ َه ُه َو ٱلْ َح ُّق ٱلْ ُم ِب‬ َ ‫َو َي ْعلَ ُم‬ On that Day, Allah will give them their just penalty in full, and they will come to know that Allah is the Manifest and Clear, the Truth. An-Nur (24): v.25

Al-Mawlaa The Master ‫َو ِإن تَ َولَّ ْو ْا َفٱعلَ ُم ٓو ْا َأ َّن ٱللَّ َه َم ْولَ ٰىكُ ْم‬ ‫ير‬ ُ ‫ى َونِ ْع َم ٱلنَّ ِص‬ ٰ َ‫نِ ْع َم ٱلْ َم ْول‬ And if they turn away, then know that Allah is your Master: an excellent Master and an excellent helper! Al-Anfal (8): v.40

Al-Muqtadir The All-Determining ‫ين ِفي َجنَّٰ تٍ َونَ َه ٍر‬ َ ‫ِإ َّن ٱلْ ُمتَّ ِق‬

‫ند َملِ يكٍ ُّم ْقتَ دِ ِر‬ َ ‫ِفى َم ْق َع ِد ِص ْد ٍق ِع‬ Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and rivers, In a seat of honor near the Sovereign, the All-Determining. Al-Qamar (54): v.54-55

Al-Qaadir The All-Powerful ‫َء َايةٌ ِّمن َّر ِّبهِ ُق ْل ِإ َّن ٱللَّ َه َقادِ ٌر‬ ‫ون‬ َ ‫َو َٰلكِ َّن َأكْ ثَ َر ُه ْم َل َي ْعلَ ُم‬

ْ ُ‫َو َقال‬ ِ‫وا لَ ْو َل نُ زِّ َل َعلَ ْيه‬ ٰٓ َ‫َعل‬ ً‫ى َأن ُينَ زِّ َل َء َاية‬

They also say, “Why has no sign been sent down to him from his Lord?” Say, “Allah certainly has the Power to send down a sign.” But most of them do not know. Al-An’am (6): v.37

Al-Warith The Inheritor ‫ون‬ ُ ‫ى َونُ ِم‬ َٰ ‫يت َونَ ْح ُن‬ َ ُ‫ٱلو ِرث‬ ِ ‫َو ِإنَّ ا لَ نَ ْح ُن نُ ْح‬ And indeed, it is We who give life and cause death, and We are the Inheritor. Al-Hijr (15): v.23

Al-Walee The Protecting Friend ْ ‫ث ِمن َب ْعدِ َما َقنَ ُط‬ ‫وا‬ َ ‫َو ُه َو ٱلَّ ذِ ى ُينَ زِّ ُل ٱلْ غَ ْي‬ ‫يد‬ ُ ‫َو َي‬ ُ ‫ي ٱلْ َح ِم‬ ُّ ِ‫نش ُر َر ْح َمتَ ُه َو ُه َو ٱلْ َول‬ He is the One Who sends down rain after people have given up hope, spreading out His mercy. He is the Protecting Friend, the All-Praiseworthy. As-Shuraa (42): v.28

An-Naseer The Helper ‫ى‬ ٰ ‫َوٱللَّ ُه َأ ْعلَ ُم ِب َأ ْع َد ٓائِ كُ ْم َوكَ َف‬ ‫يرا‬ ً ‫ى ِبٱللَّ هِ نَ ِص‬ ٰ ‫ِبٱللَّ هِ َولِ ًّيا َوكَ َف‬ And Allah is most knowing of your enemies; and sufficient is Allah as an Protecting Friend, and sufficient is Allah as a Helper. An-Nisa (4): v.45

Al-Muh’yee The Giver of Life َ ْ ‫ك تَ َرى‬ ْ‫ٱهتَ زَّ ت َو َر َبت‬ َ َّ‫َو ِم ْن َء َٰايتِ هِ َأن‬ ْ ‫ٱل ْر َض َٰخ ِش َعةً َف ِإذَ ٓا َأنزَ لْ نَ ا َعلَ ْي َها ٱلْ َم ٓا َء‬ ٰٓ َ‫ى ٱلْ َموت‬ ‫ير‬ ٌ ‫ى كُ ِّل َشيءٍ َق ِد‬ ٰ َ‫ى ِإنَّ ُه َعل‬ َ ‫ى َأ ْح َي‬ ٓ ‫ِإ َّن ٱلَّ ِذ‬ ِ ‫اها لَ ُم ْح‬

And of His signs is that you see the earth stilled, but when We send down upon it rain, it quivers and grows. Indeed, He who has given it life is the Giver of Life to the dead. Indeed, He is Over All Things Competent. Al-Fussilat (41): v.39

“Allah has ninety-nine Names, i.e., one hundred minus one, and whoever believes in their meanings and acts accordingly, will enter Paradise; and Allah is witr (one) and loves ‘the witr’. (Sahih Al-Bukhari)
