Nestled amidst the iconic landscape of Giza, Egypt, where the timeless grandeur of the Pyramids of Giza and the contemporary allure of the Grand Egyptian Museum converge, stands an architectural marvel that seamlessly blends heritage with sustainability. This visionary project embodies a profound commitment to local materials, natural ventilation, modular design, an enriched user experience, and an identity that resonates deeply with its place. Design strategy embarked on a bold mission: to design a structure that would be an organic extension of Giza’s timeless heritage. Local materials played a pivotal role in achieving this. Indigenous stone and materials sourced from the region became the building blocks of this architectural masterpiece, not only paying homage to the area’s rich history but also reducing the environmental footprint associated with transportation and production.

Central to the project’s design philosophy was the celebration of Giza’s natural climate. Meticulous planning and architectural ingenuity enabled the building to achieve enhanced natural ventilation. Cross breezes, guided by the building’s orientation, now course through the interiors, creating an atmosphere that is cool, refreshing, and deeply connected to the surroundings.
The concept of modularity formed the blueprint for flexibility, allowing for easy expansion or reconfiguration in response to changing needs. This modular approach not only optimizes the use of spaces but also ensures that the building evolves harmoniously with time, just as Giza itself has over millennia.

This architectural project is a hub of knowledge and creativity, housing a library, an art academy, a research center, and an AI campus. This holistic approach fosters interdisciplinary collaboration, pushing the boundaries of what is possible. The dormitory, with its modular design, ensures that students and researchers have a comfortable and flexible living environment that enhances their academic pursuits.
The project’s modular design is oriented along a North-South axis, with the southern facades opening to breathtaking views of the Pyramids of Giza. This deliberate alignment not only frames the awe-inspiring vista but also maximizes energy efficiency, ensuring that spaces are naturally lit and cooled, contributing to the well-being of occupants. Above all, this architectural project is a love letter to Gizaa testament to the architects’ deep understanding and reverence for the region’s history, culture, and environment. Its design expresses the identity of the place, capturing the spirit of Giza and reinvigorating it with new life, purpose, and sustainable vitality.

In the heart of the breathtaking Philippine Cordilleras, Banaue Lodge stands as a gateway to one of the most awe-inspiring UNESCO World Heritage sites, the Banaue Rice Terraces. In designing the lodge, our primary focus is to seamlessly integrate it with the natural beauty and rich cultural heritage of the surrounding landscape. The concept revolves around creating a harmonious relationship between the built environment and the natural world, offering guests a serene and immersive experience that celebrates the spirit of Banaue ensuring that the lodge blends seamlessly into its surroundings.
The architecture of Banaue
Lodge draws inspiration from the traditional Ifugao indigenous houses, known as «bahay kubo,» by applying their steep thatched roofs and sturdy wooden structures. By incorporating elements of this vernacular architecture into the design, we pay homage to the local culture and heritage while ensuring that the lodge blends seamlessly into its surroundings.

it was a group project, I learned a lot from it, because it was a project with an enormous area in an international competition, with the help of our professor, we were able to produce wonderful work from which we learned a lot in terms of urban and architectural aspects. That was the first time I felt that I had truly done architectural work, and we learned a lot, such as the street width, the zoning, the urban background of the city, urban fabric and linked it to many aspects of the project.

Although Beirut is one of the most beautiful tourist places in the world and has a charming nature, it has gone through a lot of hard circumstances, starting from inner problems such as rebellions and increase in goods prices that made the city fall without being able to come back to its prime. all these events started in the twenty-first century till the explosion of the dock, during the pandemic in 2020 which made the economic state go downhill, citizens were shocked and depressed.
so our focal points while redesigning the port are the citizens and city’s economic state, we are trying to make the citizens forget the drastic memories and give them a better experience of life. To improve the city’s economy, we are planning to create more activities that attract tourists thus providing a hard currency that will help improve the state of the economy.

As a result of explosion, a new zone was created in the middle of the port creating a strong axis helped in creating new zones with strong link between them.
