THE AMERICA’S CUP
In addition to being the oldest trophy in international sport, the America’s Cup is, by a considerable margin, also the toughest to win. Consider that over its 160-year history, only four different nations have captured the Cup.

NEW TECHNOLOGY
Today the America’s Cup is at the dawn of a new era. An exciting new vision has been established for the next America’s Cup – the best sailors, racing the fastest boats. The Cup is being transformed – it will raise the bar with two new, cutting edge boats; the AC45 and AC72, state of the art machines designed to deliver on the edge racing and showcase the athletes’ skills. The boats will be faster, more extreme and will add an element of danger that will take the event to a new level. Visually impressive, the AC45 and AC72 will fire the imagination of spectators and a new generation of fans.
