This is the fifth show Erin has costumed for OLP and the eighth show she has participated in overall. You’ve most recently seen her costumes in Beauty and the Beast and the memorable steampunk version of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night. Erin also moonlights as a Wardrobe Mistress, stitcher and dresser for San Diego Musical Theatre. In the fall she will be attending Otterbein University to pursue a degree in Theatre Design & Technology with a costume emphasis. She hopes you have a great time seeing Little Women.

Once a performer herself, Roella has been excited to take on the world of technical theater. Roella was the Stage Manager for Beauty and the Beast; assistant stage manager for Thoroughly Modern Millie and Legally Blonde; and one of the head stage managers for Anything Goes and Spring Sing. This is her sixth OLP production. She hopes you enjoy watching the show as much as she enjoys watching the backs of the actors’ heads.

Kaiya is excited to be a part of OLP’s production of Little Women as the Lighting Director. She has been part of the theatre program since her freshman year, starting as a chorus member in Thoroughly Modern Millie. Since then, she’s found her true calling behind the scenes. She has been part of crew for every show, from Legally Blonde to Beauty and the Beast. She’s grateful for the opportunity to work with an amazing cast and crew.

Emily is excited once again to be part of this year’s production. She has been here since Anything Goes as a sound technician and has decided to take on the art of technical theater. This was her first year as a stage manager for Spring Sing and Little Women will be her fourth OLP production. She hopes you enjoy the show as much as she has enjoyed seeing it – more than 35 times!

OLP’s production of Little Women is a proud participant in the 2017 San Diego Ben Vereen Awards High School Musical Theatre Competition (BVA). For details, visit www.benvereenawards.com.

Tiffany (Emory) Standifer ’18

Paulina Sierra ’17

Daniela Miranda ’19

as Beth

Elisa Litke ’17

Joey Rougas ’19

as Laurie

Grace, a senior and president of Thespians, definitely feels that her last OLP production, Little Women, is “Astonishing”! You may have seen her in Beauty and the Beast (Belle), Anything Goes (Reno Sweeney) or Legally Blonde (Elle Woods). The stage is Grace’s passion and she feels most herself when she’s performing. She would like to thank everyone who supports her love for theatre, and hopes you truly enjoy the show! Paulina is continuing her streak of playing the mother figure in OLP shows. Paulina has been in six shows, with some of her favorite roles being Festia, a feminized version of Feste, in Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, and Mrs. Potts in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. She hopes you enjoy Little Women, because she firmly believes it is the most meaningful show she’s ever done.

As a senior joining later than most, the quote “better late than never!” is Elisa’s motto for theater. Little Women is her second OLP show and she is happy to be part of it after having a blast during Beauty and the Beast as Cogsworth. She hopes you have fun and wants to let you know that she will be the one in the grey wig. Enjoy the show!

Joey is a sophomore at St. Augustine and is excited to perform as Laurie. Other credits include Lumiere in Beauty and the Beast, Sebastian in Twelfth Night, Billy in Anything Goes, and Kyle in Legally Blonde. Enjoy the show as the OLP Theatre department proudly presents Little Women!

Zane Stewart ’17

as Professor Bhaer

Zane is a senior at SDSCPA and is so excited to take the stage in his final high school production. Zane started his theatre career behind the scenes in crew, but has since found a passion for performing. His previous roles include Beauty and the Beast (the Beast) and Anything Goes (John). Like Zane finding his place on stage, some things are meant to be, like you sitting back and enjoying this show!

Tiffany is ecstatic to finally be playing a female character (Amy) in Little Women! This is her sixth show at OLP, and she feels beyond blessed to have been part of Thespian Leadership and every OLP Theatre production since her freshman year. Some of her recent roles include Le Fou (a boy) in Beauty and the Beast and Alex the Tour Guide (another boy) in Spring Sing. She hopes you enjoy the show as much as she does! This is Daniela’s second OLP production and favorite role yet. She has dearly enjoyed playing the sweet and compassionate Beth March and hopes you enjoy the show!

Dana Adcock ’18 as Meg

Dana is absolutely thrilled to be playing Meg in Little Women (one of her favorite roles yet). She fell in love with theater at a young age and has performed in over 20 shows with different companies around San Diego. Working on this show with such a wonderful cast, crew, and artistic team fills her with so much joy! She’s “delighted” to share this beautiful musical with you. Enjoy!

Thomas Parashos ’17

as Mr. Laurence

Thomas is a senior at St. Augustine. This is his third show at OLP and his ninth show overall. He was most recently Maurice (the Dad) in Beauty and the Beast. Some of his favorite roles include Malvolio in Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night and Trinculo in Shakespeare’s The Tempest. He knows you’ll have a great time.

Jonathan Brown ’17

as John Brooke

Jonathan is a senior at St. Augustine and is very proud to be in his fourth play. He was in Saints’ The Tempest and Twelve Angry Men, as well as Twelfth Night at OLP. He would like to thank his parents, who were always there to help him learn lines and critique his dance. Everyone has put forth so much time and he appreciates working with the rest of the cast!

END NOTES Note from the Director: Around age 11, I really wanted to be Jo March. I must have read Little Women ten times and tried to emulate Jo, walking around with my hands in my pockets while whistling, writing really bad short stories, and even challenging boys in my class to races (which I always lost, not being athletic at all!). Half a century later, reading over this show, I was so delighted that the writers had kept the spirit of the original, which was a love letter to young people to be imaginative, brave, and to seize life with both hands, even if it isn’t exactly the life they expected. At the close of Act I, Jo sings, “I’ll be anything but quiet, Christopher Columbus! I’ll be . . . astonishing!” I’d like to say a special thank you to two of the most astonishing “Drama Mamas” we’ve ever had: Mrs. Julie Stumm and Mrs. Kim Newton. You will always be part of this family. I’d also like to thank Bob Eisele ’63 from Saints who designed and hung lights for every OLP show for the past 30 years. All my love and thanks to my astonishing husband and set-builder, who is the main reason I’ve been able to direct 57 shows at OLP. Finally, I’d like to thank the cast and crew. I have been astonished with these students from the first day of rehearsal. I know you will be, too! We hope you enjoy Little Women. -Kathleen Herb-Baker ’70
