SCHOOL TALKS BY DR ESTELLE LAZER Dr Lazer has just completed brand new work on the casts at Pompeii and been part of a BBC documentary with Mary Beard on the Grand Pompeii Project in late 2015. Dr Lazer offers talks at schools through Academy Travel in order to disseminate the most current and accurate information on the syllabus dot points of the Cities of Vesuvius core study that is often hard for Australian teachers to readily access. Her latest talks can provide information on the changing interpretations of the victims of Pompeii and Herculaneum, and the use of new technologies, such as CT scans, x-rays, 3D laser scanning and the 2015 cast restoration project. If you would like to give your HSC students the advantage, contact schools@academytravel.com.au for further details on cost and dates.
