M/F/V/D Human Resource Assistant II – Herndon, VA – REQ 40168 We are looking for a HR Assistant who wants a rewarding career with a company that recognizes performance, appreciates innovation and focuses on its employees and its customers. The most qualified candidate will provide day-to-day human resources support and may provide support in many of the following areas: recruiting, compliance, employee and labor relations, employee communications, and safety and employment documentation. The HR Assistant helps to ensure the consistent application of administrative procedures and serves as a liaison with internal departments/divisions and/or outside organizations. ACCOUNTABILITIES: - Reviews, processes, and maintains various employment, enrollment, pay changes, informational and other confidential forms and records. - Prepares and distributes current employee information, policy and procedural manuals and other communications. - Arranges for outside services, such as audio/visual assistance and meals and refreshments for offsite meetings. - Provides administrative support to Human Resources function through utilization of appropriate software packages. - May be involved in employee communications such as pre-employment screening and responding to routine questions on human resource policies and procedures. - Prepares documents to include drafting letters; creating, updating and maintaining department spreadsheets. - Interfaces with outside agencies as directed. - Maintains employee records. - Provides assistance to the Recruiting department with pre-employment testing, pre-screening interviews and background investigations QUALIFICATIONS: - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook calendars is required. - HS diploma, GED or relevant work experience is required. College degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred. - 2 years of HR and/or Administration experience required. 3-5 years of HR and/or Administrative experience is preferred. - Working knowledge of PeopleSoft is preferred. - Strong time management, project management skills and the ability to work in a multi-tasking environment is preferred. - Ability to operate in a fully functioning support role having responsibility to perform all (or most) most of the standard HR support and administrative work within the department. - Ability to effectively identify problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to solve them in situations where the problem is not difficult or complex. Refers complex, unusual problems to supervisor/manager. - Under general supervision, exercises some judgment in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, techniques. Work typically involves regular review of output by a senior coworker or supervisor/manager.


Supervisor, Construction – Herndon, VA – REQ 40158 Constructs, builds, repairs, and inspects Hybrid Fiber Coax (HFC) networks to provide voice, video, and data to residential and commercial customers. Coordinates with other utilities for permits, joint trench, pole applications, and service issues. Typical Training / Experience - High school diploma or equivalent and 3+ years telecommunications construction experience required. Prefer BS/BA in Project Management or related discipline and/or 2 years leadership or supervisory experience in construction or related field. Testing - Supervisory assessment required Hours - Standard business hours plus afterhours work as business needs dictate.

Manager, Commercial Engineering and Network Operations Springfield, VA – REQ 40112 The Commercial Network Engineering and Operations Manager in Northern Virginia directly supervises a team of engineers and supervisory personnel. The supervisor(s) oversee the team of operations technicians. Key business objectives include designing and implementing new circuits and services for Cox Business customers served directly by Cox’s fiber ring architecture. Understanding of telecommunications electronics and architectures is essential. This includes both traditional SONET, DWDM, and data transport and routing technologies. Also, this team is responsible for repair and service assurance activities for existing fiber customer services. Customer service excellence through on time and accurate service delivery, carrier class service assurance response, and friendly, trusted service interface. Critical internal partnerships include Sales, Marketing, Fulfillment and Construction, Field Services, and other teams. Qualifications Education: -BS in Engineering, Telecommunications, or IT required or equivalent work experience in related technology or telecommunications field. Experience: -Minimum 3 - 5 years leadership experience, leading engineers and technicians -7+ years in data engineering/operations environment, telecommunications or service provider preferred -Cisco or Alcatel Lucent certifications viewed positively -Experience operating a 24x7 environment, business continuity, and rapid paced growth -Valid state driver’s license, and good driving record required.
