5 + years relevant experience required Minimum education required: Undergraduate Degree in related field. Master’s degree preferred Knowledge and experience in adaptive sports programming, project management, excellent communication skills, outstanding customer service, efficient multi-tasking and good attention to detail. The ability to network and build partnerships, work independently and exercise good judgment. A proven track record of initiative and effective decision making is required Proficiency in Microsoft (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint), Adobe (Acrobat, Photoshop), Database Management and the ability to use general office technology

General Description (Position Overview) The Chapter Services Manager is responsible for supporting the Disabled Sports USA (DSUSA) national chapter network, including, but not limited to coordinating programs and communicating benefits, policies, best practices and opportunities through Disabled Sports USA Headquarters as well as chapter to chapter. The Chapter Services Manager will act as a key representative for Disabled Sports USA at events, conferences, seminars, media opportunities and other occasions. Areas of responsibility include project management, research and data analysis, chapter support, chapter communications, chapter formation/cultivation, chapter training/education and building partnerships. The Chapter Services Manager will also support other administrative and programmatic areas as needed and may supervise staff. Some travel, including weekends is required.

Specific Responsibilities Chapter Support  Promote DSUSA mission and vision statement to chapters  Develop professional relationships with existing chapters in order to provide ongoing support  Ensure co-branding compliance  Keep chapter handbook current, identify gaps and improvements  Identify and address ways to improve chapter support  Encourage chapters to take advantage of the benefits available to them as members of DSUSA  Assist chapters in building strategic relationships/partnerships in their community; i.e. school systems, rehabilitation facilities, Parks and Recreation Departments Page 1 of 2


Chapter Communications  Work with staff to identify opportunities and programs to be shared with chapters  Gather information from chapters, staff, national governing organizations and key partners to be used for developing DSUSA adaptive sports best practices  Communicate policy, best practices and other relevant information to chapters  Utilize optimal methods of communication to effectively reach target audience  Increase communication between chapters and DSUSA HQ (monthly, quarterly and annual outreach) including occasional site visits  Understand the types of insurance policies offered by DSUSA and be able to answer basic questions  Identify areas of risk to senior staff Chapter Training and Education  Identify training needs  Find and evaluate training opportunities  Coordinate regional training and education for DSUSA chapters and other partners (Adapt2Achieve)  Present evaluation results from training programs for future improvement Chapter Cultivation and Formation  Identify potential DSUSA chapters, particularly in state and regions where there is no current representation  Assist applicants through the chapter formation process  Mentor newly formed chapters during the first year of membership  Ensure understanding of DSUSA mission and vision statements Building Partnerships  Identify partnerships with leading national organizations that support DSUSA programs and operations  Perform outreach to and appropriate follow up with potential partners in collaboration with staff III.

Reporting Relationship The Chapter Services Manager reports to the Chief Financial Officer. The Chapter Services Manager will also be given direction and assigned tasks as appropriate. The Chapter Services Manager may supervise interns or other staff.
