Currently, Trident has an Engineering Director position available in our Fairfax, VA location. Essential Functions The Collaboration Systems Engineering Group Director is responsible for management of Project Managers and technical staff within Trident’s Assured Collaboration engineering discipline. Provides leadership, management and judgment necessary to effectively strengthen Trident technical project execution and productivity and to enhance the quality of the products and services delivered. Works in close collaboration with Trident Business Area Executives in achieving business development and revenue goals. Provides oversight of technical project planning and execution. Directs Project Managers in the technical, contractual, accounting, and administrative execution of projects assigned to the Engineering Group including hands-on reviews of business and technical matters. Oversee all aspects of contract management by the Engineering Group’s Project Managers. Manage employee assignments within the Engineering Group. Prepare and conduct performance reviews and compensation changes; recommend promotions; and propose changes to job descriptions. Track contract backlog and report to Corporate Executives on backlog and project status. Oversee the recruiting, evaluation, hiring, and indoctrination of the Engineering Group’s employees. Maintain a high degree of technical situational awareness regarding the application of existing and emerging technologies as related to customer needs and expectations; competitors’ intentions, strengths and weaknesses; Trident technical and business competencies. KEY RELATIONSHIPS: Position Reports To: Executive Vice President Operations Positions Supervises: All personnel assigned to Collaboration Systems Engineering Group Working Relationships: Coordinate directly with Business Area Executives in oversight of project execution and in support of business development activities. Collaborate with Corporate Directors of HR, Contracts, Accounting, Security and IT in conduct of business and with senior executives in conduct of strategic planning. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (KSA)
Bachelors Degree in a technical field (such as Computer Science, Information Assurance, Systems Engineering, Information Technology) plus at least 15 years’ experience with clear evidence of increasing responsibility through technical project management. At least ten years’ experience (technical or management) in planning, executing, and supporting complex network-based software/hardware development and deployments within DoD or the Intel community. Familiarity with the following technical and management areas: - Information Assurance and interoperability policy requirements within DoD and the Intelligence Community - Execution of network-based IT deployments within the DoD or Intelligence Community - NASA Certification Process

Must understand full software development life cycle and have managed a software development programs in past experience. Networked applications, including management of high-reliability solutions applicable to the military/intel context Understanding of military IP networks and networked applications Understanding of military & intelligence IP network security and interoperability requirements and current implementation best practices
