Operation, maintenance, and logistic support of Army Tactical UAV System.
•
Interface directly with customer.
•
Work in groups or independently with minimal or no supervision.
•
Travel and deploy worldwide with military forces as required.
•
Will at times be required to work odd shifts, weekends, and/or extended hours.
•
Provides general logistics functions.
•
Troubleshoots technical problems and issues and determines technical solutions.
•
Responsible for data management and generation.
•
Practices ISO 9001 principles and concepts.
Required Skills: •
Operation, maintenance, and repair of aircraft and aircraft electronics to the component level.
•
Experience in maintenance and repair of Unmanned Air Vehicle systems a plus.
•
Prior military service a desired plus.
•
Ability to quickly learn on-the-job training and independently study specific job requirements, ISO Principles & Concepts.
•
High degree of oral and written communications skills and good supervisory skills.
•
Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation; and ability to evaluate, isolate, and repair malfunctions.
•
Ability to conduct on-the-job training. Familiarity with customer expectations, policies, and business practices and high customer satisfaction orientation.
•
Ability to work independently or on a team with minimal supervision.
•
This position is subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions.
•
This position is subject to noise.
•
Employees may be required to participate in the Hearing Conservation Program, which will require regular testing and wearing of hearing protection equipment where necessary.
•
This position will require the use of Personal Protection Equipment.
•
This position is required to perform work-related travel worldwide and may include accompanying DoD forces into hardship and combat areas.
•
This position will be exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
•
Visual requirement is the minimum standard for those whose work deals largely with visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and computer terminals; extensive reading; and using measuring devices.
•
Equipment used in performing duties: General hand tools; general electronics test equipment (meters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.); diagnostic equipment (hardware); electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic power tools; and personal computer.
Education: Four Year Degree Experience: Bachelors Degree or formal military training in electronics, engineering, or related field, or related work experience. Typically requires a minimum of four years experience with electronic repair and repair reporting requirements. Directly related experience desirable. Active or former security clearance preferred. Must be able to obtain at least an interim clearance within 6 months in order to remain on the program.
