Health Information Technology (HIT) Implementation Specialist The Fort Drum Regional Health Planning Organization invites applications for the contract position of Health Information Technology Implementation Specialist to begin immediately. The ideal candidate will be experienced in performing a wide range of technical design, planning and support tasks related to systems, networks, interfaces and HIT applications. He or she must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. This person must be extremely well organized, flexible and enjoy the technical, operational and leadership challenges of supporting a regional HIT project.
Requirements candidate must possess:
Associates degree in Information Technology, Bachelors or Master’s preferred
Cisco, Microsoft, and/or Security certifications preferred
Current driver’s license and a reliable vehicle (will require reimbursable regional travel)
5+ years of experience implementing HIT, as well as providing customer and network support services to both technically adept and inexperienced clients; clinical setting working with providers preferred
Experience leading or managing project teams, including through the phases of team formation, goal setting, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Familiarity with MEDITECH, Medent, Sage (Vitera), CPSI, Optum, GE Centricity, and/or eClinicalWorks EMR applications preferred
Technical application support experience using Microsoft systems
Extensive knowledge of applicable HIT regulations/standards and experience in ensuring systems compliance
Knowledge of and experience with interfaces and the technology/standards used to connect health information systems/EMR’s preferred
Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills
