NCI: As the Help Desk Specialist; this position is vital to the success of the Air Force support mission for NCI. The Help Desk Specialist will provide technical assistance to geographically dispersed Tier 1 customers. The operational environment consists of both commercial off-the shelf (COTS)
software and also custom written applications. The Help Desk Specialist is a part of a dynamic team working in a group environment. The Help Desk Specialist position will be located in Rome, New York. Highlights of Responsibilities:
Provide Tier 1 phone support to customers. Manage trouble tickets via Remedy to track and resolve a variety of user needs. Create new accounts. Delete old accounts. Troubleshoot connectivity issues. Grant permissions to folders and files. Assist groups or individuals in locating and obtaining materials. Perform a variety of clerical and administrative duties pertinent to Help Desk.
Requirements:
Associate degree in Computer Science or related field plus 2 to 7 years related experience. Expert in Microsoft Office 2007 and 2010. Experienced with Windows 7 including Active Directory. CompTIA A+ certification. Microsoft MCTS certification; configuring. Applicants selected for this position will require background screening and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field plus 5 or more years of experience. CompTIA Network+ certification CompTIA Security+ certification
