Contract Advisors for USAF Do you have previous experience in supporting Government acquisition activities? Would you like to live and work on the west coast of sunny Florida? We are currently seeking 3 Contracting Assistants to support fuel systems facility projects for the USAF. This work will be performed at Tyndall AFB just outside of Panama City, FL. This is an 18-month contract (6month base period plus one option year), and if selected you would be a W2 employee of our company. Full benefits are available.

Responsibilities •

Provide funding advice to customers and to AFCESA DLA-E Program and Project Managers regarding recommendations for effective resolution of contract performance issues such as discretionary scope changes, non-compliant contractor actions, and processing of contract deliverables associated with infrastructure and facility design and construction projects.

Provide complete, timely, accurate, and high quality DLA_E task order modification packages.

Support all activities related to technical evaluation of proposals from negotiations through contract award.

Provide timely and effective recommendations for task order invoices to AF Contracting Officers.

Collect information and provide timely and accurate documentation of contractors’ performance data.

Ensure job site labor checks are consistently performed as part of periodic site surveillance. Submit Labor Check Reports to the AFCESA Contracting Officer or the Contract Administrator.

Maintain project tracking information in AFCESA’s Operational Awareness Database (OAD).

Requirements •

Must have an active Secret security clearance issued by the DoD.

Must be a US citizen.

Possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and at least 24 semester hours in any of the following disciplines: accounting, business finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization & management.


At least 1 year of specialized experience in support of Government acquisitions as a contract specialist.

Knowledge of federal, departmental, and agency laws, regulations, and procedures applicable to the acquisition process and to the administration of contracts.

Knowledge of, and experience with, various contract types, to include firm fixed-price, fixed price incentive, firm fixed price with award fee/award term, cost plus fixed fee, cost plus incentive fee, cost plus award fee/award term, and time and material.

Knowledge of processes for negotiated procurements, to include source selection procedures, sole source contracts, sole source 8(a) contracts, competitive 8(a) contracts; and multiple Indefinite Delivery and Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) task order awards.

Knowledge of contract administration principles and the practices to monitor contractor performance and resolve issues.

Possess a working knowledge of MS Office Suite software, government contract writing systems, and other government databases applicable to this position such as PD2.

Possess basic contracting skills, knowledge and abilities, including the terminology associated with the contract administration process.
