Job Summary JOB TITLE:
Senior Engineer - Pine Bluff, Arkansas
SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for supervising the maintenance of production equipment, building, utilities, and providing technical and overall guidance to maintenance department Team Members. This position is responsible for supervising the maintenance of production equipment, buildings, and utilities including various equipment found in a 1st, 2nd, Further Processing, and ready to eat processing facility, as well as computerized control systems of evisceration, scales, blenders, freezer, fryers, ovens and packaging systems. This includes developing all project concepts regarding production operations and management as well as working with operations management to determine process enhancement group objectives. In addition, this position will be responsible for supervising the parts department to maintain an adequate supply of parts without excess inventory; managing and coordinating functions of plant maintenance and new installation in order to meet production needs at the lowest possible cost. Also this position will oversee the purchase of equipment, materials, and supplies; supervising line changeovers and new equipment installations; designing changes to equipment and production lines to better meet customer demand; planning plant wide safety, sanitation, ergonomic, USDA and OSHA programs; serves on the Safety Committee; frequent involvement in the Capitol Investment Request process and project management; and performs other responsibilities as the need arises.
QUALIFICATIONS: Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an academic field directly related to this position preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
7+ years experience in maintenance management
Computer Skills:
Intermediate computer skills including using desktop publishing to create sophisticated publications or promotional materials, using CAD software; writing and executing complex programs using a fourth generation language; or using "canned" software packages to develop computer systems from general specifications.
Travel:
6 to 11 trips per year.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This is a maintenance manager position which will be responsible for the management of over 100 mechanics, maintenance supervisors and or superintendents.
