Cambridge is truly a green city with the natural fen landscape flowing into the centre along the river Cam. There are numerous gardens and greens to wander around or you can take a punt ride on the river. Cambridge is excellent for cycling and bicycles can be hired for exploring the city and beyond. Other pursuits include swimming in the outdoor pool at Jesus Green, riding the flumes at Parkside Pools or playing tennis at one of the many outdoor courts. Cambridge is home to 4 prestigious theatres and 3 large concert halls as well as 3 multiscreen cinemas. Restaurants, bars and cafĂŠs are in abundance with plenty of choice for your taste buds! Shopping facilities are excellent in Cambridge with 3 large shopping centres including the Grand Arcade which opened its doors in 2007. There are many high street names along with unique boutiques offering something for everyone. Newmarket is also worth visiting and lies approximately 15 miles from Fulbourn. It is of course, home to the famous Newmarket Racecourse, a place that can be enjoyed by all the family. Another noteworthy place is Ely with its famous Cathedral.
