Home care training program

NON-profit organization SSI, in partnership with Group Training Organization Apprenticeship Careers Australia (ACA), has launched a Home Care Traineeship program to alleviate the skills shortages in the at-home aged care sector.

The training program is designed for those who have limited or no industry experience and aims to provide participants with the skills needed to work in the home care sector. Participants will receive both full and part-time hands-on practical learning and the opportunity to train with an employer while earning a nationally recognized qualification.

The program also offers pre-employment courses, including First Aid, Infection Control, Safe Work Practices, and Dementia Awareness.

Eligible Australian residents and citizens across NSW and the ACT, including regional and remote areas, can use this complimentary service.
