Berthold Breid The Renewables Academy - RENAC
Background The human-resources and training situation
The fast-growing market of renewable energies is creating a great need for qualified employees in a wide variety of professions and qualification levels, both at home and abroad. There is a continued fast-growing need for employees in renewable energies, national and international. Opportunities for training and education worldwide is failing to meet the demand for qualified personnel. Existing opportunities for training and education do not cover important success-relevant topics, and are too little oriented toward foreign markets. The goal of the Renewables Academy is to improve the supply of qualified personal – quickly, and at a high qualitative standard

The Renewables Academy: Goals
www.renac.de
Helping to close the gap in the market for education and training in the area of renewable energies. Ensuring international know-how transfer for decision-makers in government and business, as well as engineers in companies. Strengthening Berlin as a knowledge city by expanding its renewable-energies potential. Creating synergies between business, embassies, universities, government offices and students. Developing the “pure technology-export” campaign “Renewables Made in Germany” further, to create a center for education in the RE field. Contributing to the further qualification of the RE industry, and supplying it with good personnel.
