THESE COURSES ARE A GREAT WAY TO MEET NEW PEOPLE, LEARN A NEW SKILL AND HAVE FUN! The short introductory courses listed overleaf will give you all the skills you need for home DiY projects, to help you upskill in your workplace and provide basic knowledge so that you can move on to a higher level course. Courses start in January 2019 and run one evening (5:30pm - 9pm) a week for either nine or twelve weeks (Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday depending on which course is chosen).

The training will be based at our Broad Oak Campus in state-of-the-art workshops, using high end building materials. All tools and equipment are provided. CARPENTRY AND JOINERY
MULTI-TRADES
Fancy building that garden wall or carrying out minor building repairs? Then this introductory course will enable you to gain the basic skills in Bricklaying to complete small building projects in and around the home.
Working within our Carpentry and Joinery workshops, you’ll gain skills that will help you to complete tasks within your own home or within the garden. Learn the basics of home maintenance and repair, to save yourself money whilst gaining a better understanding of all things practical.
Need to brush up on your DiY skills? This 12 week multi-skills course covers Bricklaying, Carpentry and Joinery, Painting and Decorating and Plastering skills to prepare you for all those home improvements you’d like to complete.

Want to learn how to hang wallpaper correctly? During this course you will learn how to apply wallpaper to a Chimney breast and alcoves, a ceiling and around a window plus many more tips of the trade.
Have you ever wanted to carry out that plastering job at home? This short course is aimed at covering the basics of plaster finishes and will include mixing of plaster, applying finish plaster to wall areas and the correct techniques required.
This course is aimed at those with little or no previous experience. During the 12 week course you will gain basic skills in wall and floor tiling which will enable you to complete small tiling projects in domestic settings.
