1 Leading with Lollipops Developing leadership is crucial since leading both to help us and those around us. However, we often face several challenges when developing leadership, including difficulty maintaining humility, lack of self-confidence, inability to learn from criticism, and sometimes ego that prevents us from admitting our mistakes. From the TED Talk Leading with Lollipops, Drew Dudley helps us understand that most individuals do not want to admit being leaders since they view this as some arrogance element, which many people do not find comfortable. Other individuals also fail in developing leadership due to their inability to step back and allow others to step up. My greatest leadership development challenge is the difficulty of maintaining selfconfidence. Perhaps I may feel that I have not delivered the expectation when leading, making me doubt myself and whether I can inspire others. Overcoming the leadership development challenge of maintaining self-confidence requires focusing on changing a specific thing. I can overcome this challenge by affirming myself of the things I can and have achieved and contributing to others’ successes. Sanborn (2014) utters that we can successfully develop leadership by consciously choosing to make positive differences. I can also set myself as an example that will inspire other people towards greatness. Buy this excellently written paper or order a fresh one from ace-myhomework.com polished tutors.
