Message from the Principal
Dear Parents, Caregivers and Students,
I would like to thank you all for your support in my first year as Principal at ACG School Jakarta. Seeing students of all ages getting involved in activities that simply wouldn’t have been possible without coming back on to campus in August 2022, and also the great parent support for the events of this year, has made this a remarkable first year. I am looking forward to more on campus events and to a bigger and better next year.
Looking back on this year, I’m proud to note how far we have come as a network of schools, Inspired has grown its network of premium schools globally, but regionally we have been able to link more closely with AIS Saigon, even having our students board there during a recent ASAC tournament. Stronger connections will be made throughout the next academic year with other Inspired schools and those in the ASAC network; invitations for new events, such as MUN, have already been extended from Phnom Penh, and a hybrid swim event is planned. We are committed to preparing ACG School Jakarta students for tomorrow’s world, empowering our learners to shape the world they want to live in, as can be seen from this year’s graduation of the Class of 2023.
I also am grateful for the time and care that so many of you took in responding to our recent Student Survey.
I am delighted that teaching and learning were overwhelmingly seen as the things we do best. I have also listened to the constructive feedback and particular areas, like parent communications, will now be a focus for us for the next school year.
As a community we are looking forward to our new food provider, Akara, and the renovation of the football pitch and different areas of the school.
I want to personally thank the students and their families who have come to the end of their ACG School Jakarta journey this year for being a part of our community, and I wish you all the brightest of futures.
I also want to thank our faculty leavers this term who have worked tirelessly to deliver this future-focused education – Ryan McPhee, Charlene Chan, Faaiza Mahomed, Agung Wibowo, Stephanie Datrix, Samantha Pho, and Nadia Ladesma
As we look to the next academic year, I offer a warm welcome to all the new students starting at ACG School Jakarta and their families. It’s an exciting time to be joining the school and we are looking forward to seeing you all in August!
Wishing you all an enjoyable summer, Warm regards,
Myles D’Airelle Principal
