Personal Experience Journal #1 While investigating about Aspergers and Autism I have learned and realized a lot of things, like that I have met a lot of people with this kind of disease but I didn't notice and I thought they were only strange or that they didn't like me, but after doing all this investigation and knowing all the characteristics and symptoms that people that have this diseases have. I understand that maybe I thought they were strange but they actually have this disease and its not easy for them to socialize or even express themselves or their feelings. I also know how to treat them we I see someone that suffers from this, I know its not easy for them to talk or socialize with someone but its not that they don't want to talk or be with you its just that they don't feel comfortable around someone they don't know very much. But I know that if you really get to know them they are really lovable persons and worry a lot for the people they care about.

Personal Experience Journal #2 While creating “the system I found out that drawings can facilitate communication in an extreme way, like with autistic boys drawings may say what they mean but they don't know how to express themselves and a drawing may explain everything by just pointing at it. The system is really good because it doesn't only helps kids by making it easy for them to communicate, it also encourages them. How? well by facilitating their expression the kids feel free to say whatever they want because it is really easy. This case is with all the people not only autistic boys, sometimes you don't know how you feel or how to express and a drawing or image expresses your feelings exactly and this is exactly the case that autistic kids have but they have it all the time. I think this work helped me

understand better the phrase “a picture says more than a thousand words

When I was 14 years with 9 months and 13 days, my parents decided I should go on a trip with them because of my good grades. I dont understand why I think its my obligation as a kid to get good grades, most people say they dont matter and that grades are not important, but I don’t think that way. Well after 4:35 minutes of my parents explaining me why did I deserved that trip, which I didn’t even heard, they told me I could invite 4 friends they seemed so its happiness according to the expression table that Siobahn gave me. But this were my potential trip mates: 1-‐Beto 2-‐Rafa 3-‐Edy 4-‐Eduardo 5-‐Emilio 6-‐Isaac 7-‐Marcos 8-‐ Alex I just couldn’t decide because I liked them all the same so I decided to make a rafPle. Ill put different papers in each name and grab them out so I decided. Name Sign Meaning Beto Star Wont go Rafa Cross Wont go Edy Circle Go Eduardo Tree Go Emilio Fish Wont go Isaac Dog Wont go Marcos Triangle Go Alex Square Go I began to feel emotion about the trip I didn’t knew what to expect. When I told the ones that were going I saw the others making a face I wasn’t familiar with it was like this but then I explained that I liked them also and they understood. I explained to them because I don’t think anybody should be sad because of another person’s fault.

How can I help a kid like Christopher Pit into society? How can I help him develop his language in such a way that other people may understand what he tries to express? I think that in order for an autistic kid to feel comfortable in a society the circle in which he lives should adjust a little to the needs of that person. Having a autistic kid is hard enough to affront and even harder to adapt to the kid needs, but with this simple tips it should be easy for your family and will help a lot your kid in socialization with the persons they live. Learn a little about what Autism is. This means that in order to understand and know how to treat a kid is necessary to know what he is living through and how he feels and also try that everyone who has close contact with him knows that he is different and should be treated with special care. Make him feel like he belongs to that circle and that even though he is not that interested in socialization let him feel that he is part of a group in order for him to feel conPidence and socialize a little more. If I could help an autistic kid to communicate better with society Ill make sure that when he tries to express he does it clearly even if he doesn’t use words, he can communicate using his surroundings by pointing things, objects colors or even what he needs to say, also to have his PECS system in the pocket all he time because that’s the way of communicating that he likes best and its easier for him to do it. My conclusion is that if you know a autist kid you should make everyone that is around him aware of his situation and to be treated differently but at the same time make him feel the same as everybody.
